also, I know you're a Rand guy (respect), why did Trump try so hard to get Rand out of the race first? then, after he dropped to focus on the senate, why did Trump continue to slam him & try to help Rand lose his senate seat? if anyone followed, it was like Gray & Trump were colluding (doubt it, but Gray sure capitalized on it)

I would think an anti-establishment candidate would be behind someone like Rand Paul.
Rand Paul vs Trump if Rand got any sort of airtime he would win easily imo. I'd vote for Rand all day he was my #1 choice from the start. I think Trump knew he was a threat and so he went after him first.

agree. what was weird (to me) was how he stayed on Rand after he dropped out and/or how Jim Gray (Rand's liberal opponent) was re-tweeting Trump quotes & MAGA hats (??).

one of many...

Rand never endorsed Trump though did he? Trump seems like the kind of guy to keep hammering people if they're a republican and don't endorse him. He doesn't talk shit about little Marco anymore since he endorsed him.

he pledged to endorse "the nominee" before it was Trump. he doesn't like him, but he is one of the only people out there supporting him. in fact, I think Rand has been the most vocal (of those hesitant @ first) about supporting Trump this election.

with that said, I don't think he is actively talking Trump up instead choosing to talk Clinton down. but he hasn't said a bad word about Trump since dropping IIRC & has been asking for people to support him in the face of a Clinton presidency. the Pauls hate the Clintons & vice versa.

MAYSVILLE – U.S. Sen. Rand Paul told an overflow crowd at the Rotary Club in Maysville on Thursday morning that he’s had his differences with GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump, but he solidly supports him in his race against Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.

The stop was part of Paul’s town hall meeting schedule which he’s held across the state to talk to, and hear from voters.

Paul told the crowd that’s it’s important to pull together behind Trump because the alternative is Clinton.

“We now have a comparison between Hillary Clinton and her husband who have grown rich over government service,” Paul said. “Selling themselves and selling their speeches.

Paul was asked by a member of the audience why he has thrown his support to Trump and not Libertarian Party candidate Gary Johnson, who shares a lot of similar views with Paul.

Paul said the number one reason is that he signed a pledge with the 17 other GOP presidential candidates to support the nominee, and the fact that votes for Johnson would wind up helping Clinton.

“I think, in the end, some worry that if you siphon off votes, it could allow, not Johnson to win, but Clinton to win,” Paul said.

I think you might be right, WA might go red.
Seattle and Tacoma will be blue, but the rest, (farmers, land owners, etc.) will be red.
would be awesome of WA state goes Trump, for no other reason than the scabby gauged ear mobs in Seattle would lose their collective shits

I like his explanation on why not to vote for Johnson. We got a 100% chance of this country failing if Hillary is in there. This country is circling the drain as it is. Trump is an unknown imo he doesn't have the track record of a politician. I see the race as let's not let Hillary in there as my #1 goal.

I would think an anti-establishment candidate would be behind someone like Rand Paul.

I agree with all that.
My thoughts are, that leading into the convention, the meetings that he had with the RNC powerhouse went something like,
"the establishment is unbeatable, play ball 50%, or we have no problem keeping the establishment going, even if it's Hillary."

My fear would be a false flag on Trump in some attempt to cultivate massive civil unrest putting Pence in the oval office. I would put nothing past them.

And Trump, personally, is not my cup of tea.
BUT, despite all of that, he still holds firm to the things I care about most, which are establishing relations with Russia that keep an acceptable power balance, and keeps my face from melting off.

Both parties' warhawks seem dead set on villainizing Russia.

I know there will be massive voter fraud, am 99% sure my vote doesn't count, but I see Hillary and I see WW3 and/or a massive push toward UN control over our states, constitution, and overall globalization.
And interestingly, many Mises institute contributors have seemingly positioned themselves behind Trump in an effort to further public awareness of libertarian values.
I'm HOPING, that once the Don is in office, there will be a revived awakening toward these values that could never be accomplished by the lack of showmanship of the Paul's and others in a country that is blinded by pageantry.

Either way, anything is better than Hillary Clinton.
This Trump movement might be the springboard for a louder, more powerful voice by 3rd party candidates in the future.

Actually they did discuss the wall. Trumpet just told a yuge lie as yusual:
Nieto Spox: Mexico Will Not Pay for Wall
A spokesman for Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto told Reuters that he and Donald Trump did discuss Mexico paying for the wall Trump promises to build if elected. The spokesman said that Nieto told Trump Mexico would not pay for it. This runs counter to what Trump said in a news conference following the meeting in which he claimed that they never discussed who would pay for the supposed wall.

This? One guy claims he won't pay for the wall. Another guy claims he won't pay for the wall. Not sure how this shows Trump said the USA will foot the bill.

And you seem to dodge the question on who you plan on voting for. If you don't want to disclose that's cool I just would like to know as you seem anti-Trump.

Yeah going by Trump's record as 2015's "Liar of the year" winner, I'm gonna go with he lied.

Didn't dodge your question about my vote. I don't "seem" anti Trump, I am.
If Johnson get to 15% in polls & makes the debates, he getsmy vote.
Otherwise it's Killary Shillary.

Good to know. I can see you voting for Hillary that was what I was thinking. It's rich you are talking about a Trump lie but would even consider voting for a person who lies under oath in Hillary.

Lol. Hillary is an amatuer at lying compared to Trump. Trump's the best liar with the best words. Believe me. I prefer people that aren't that bad at lying.
