Money talks. He'll be back. A potential lawsuit from his victim could wipe out his savings and he will need cash.

What else is he going to do? He'll be back. This is an attempt to keep his name in the news and garner some sympathy votes.

Isn't his manager a known bullshiter or something like that?

I believe he will be back. I wonder if he will be the same though. He's a crazy gifted athlete, but he isn't known for his work ethic and dedication to training. If he is out for a year and not training, will he lose a step? Probably not. However, if he isn't a wild man on Coke will he still have the same ability? I don't know, does Coke help with weight cutting? The guys that I know who have done it had tons of energy and stayed up for long periods of time. That seems like it could help with intensity in training and weight cutting. I'm probably over thinking it. When he comes back in he will likely walk through whoever is in front of him, at any weight.

So i asked this before, is it possible that he has to do jail time?

He probably is a millionaire by now, but is it enough for a man with his lifestyle to live of the rest of his life i think not.

Some of you folks didn't appreciate the greatness that was Jon Jones during his reign as UFC light heavyweight champion, and now you'll have to live with that regret for the rest of your years as a fan of MMA, or...just until this whole hit and run thing blows over and his suspension is lifted.

I highly doubt it. Possible? Sure. 1-2 years probation more likely.

i cant stand the guy but it would be a shame if a fighter with his talent and abilities were to quit this early in his career. imagine what a jon jones with proper state of mind and sobriety would be capable of

I don't get it....his Manager says it's a possibility he won't return after a series of fuckups and this is controversial? Jones didn't even say it, Malki said it. It's a pretty big leap that this is some kind of conspiracy to get support. If I were Jones I would go the Kimbo route and bounce this sport. Every time somebody comes up we spend a brick of time hating on them.

Rewatching him in that Brandon Vera fight was interesting. He has been on record claiming he has no power, but that elbow that broke Vera's orbital was picturesque.

I wouldn't bounce, but he really doesn't owe the fans anything. This is between the courts and him.
