New skins. A better selection would be a good option. Not really a huge fan of a white screen personally and then the dark isnt just not attractive. I think more skins would be appreciated by members.

I've not had to use the ignore function very often. But I know it removes the user entirely from my view. Which is good. BUT...something problematic that I noticed is when someone quotes the ignored person, the quote is removed and it looks like the person is just saying a random sentence with no context.

This has caused some confusion on my end trying to figure out what was going on in threads.

Here's an example of a pre-ignore post:

And the same one after ignoring. The quote completely removed, making it appear as if he's just saying it to everybody in general.

Is there a way to keep the ignored person's physical post there, but just have the content removed? This way when users quote my ignored person in the future, I at least have the context that, "Oh, they're responding to that guy I ignored", and not think they're saying random things into the ether. lol.

or even

Forums running great, I like what you guys have done here.

I have a suggestion, that is to allow users to post and create threads in The Dump.

Sherdog F78 had their own Dump and would toss shit threads there ...after some time posters like N13, Yakobi, SD-Stranger, and many others started creating threads in teh dump and it became a hidden gem of conspiracies mixed in with some hard cold knowledge.

I'll gladly post all future shit threads in teh dump if granted the opportunity.

;)

Another Idea....MMA events are going on all the time....

Have you guys thought about making a "Sticky" thread in the Cageside Forum with all the upcoming bouts for the month with a direct link to the official PBP Discussion thread included below the link:

Example:

UFC 202: Diaz Vs. McGregor
UFC 202: Discussion Thread 8/20/2016

Bellator 160: Bendo Vs. Freire
Bellator 160: Discussion Thread 8/26/2016

Then Every month just update the Stickies.....

I only bring this up because I had no clue Ferguson was fighting Alladin the other night till I was flipping through channels and came across it .....

You gotta remember casuals and hardcore fans are being bombarded with UFC content on FS1, Spike, FS2, Fox, Fight Pass, PPV ...nobody can keep up with it anymore..

Having a Sticky thread and staying consistent with updating it every 1st of the month will be a nice feature to returning users who will be kept up to date with upcoming events and they'll have the opportunity to join in on the discussions when ever they can.

Hey, why aren't you guys in the FightOpinion.com side bar website links. That used to be my go to place for info when I followed mma closely. I used it as a home page to link with other news sites and forums, it was really handy.Place was legend during the year of Pride/Yakuza scandal. Yakuza Zach Arnold was the only reporter that covered the story and he was on it from beginning to end. You guys should talk to Zach about getting on there. It's a cool thing.

I actually disagree with the ignore recommendation.

I am here to ask if there's any way to have the "Currently Viewing" section to reflect your ignore list. So, if you have someone on ignore, it would be cool if they didn't pop up under that section.

That's an interesting finding. Never thought about it..

Maybe so!

Not a rec, but just wanted to give feedback without starting a new thread

I think u guys changed the way the site shows on mobile. It's condensing two articles side by side now from android galaxy s5. Good idea btw

But just a heads up that it's overlapping some text. ID bet yall know this already but figured I'd point it out in case

Thanks for everything as always. Love this place

Over 50% of the time that I make a comment to a thread,I intend to watch it. But I only got in the habit recently of remembering to always click watch

So potentially, it'd be a good idea to default to watching if someone comments. Granted, I haven't done the marker research to see if others behavior resembles my own

Don't worry about opining back with reasons for or against this idea. I'm good either way since I'm now in the habit of remembering to watch threads

The reason I mentioned it is bc I was brainstorming user retention for the website. When people first join, they may forget to watch threads thinkjg that a post automatically subs them. As a result, they miss out on the rest of the activity.

And from ur sites perspective, there's lost value in stuff they would have wanted to see, causing them to search elsewhere for additional content. And if they run into one of the places with an abundance of content and an extremely inefficient way of disseminating that content, they get stuck there like a cute Lil bUG in a spider web.

CMNH - Im totally not spider bashing. I love spiders. I woke up in the middle o the night again with shoulder pains so I'm kinda delusional and couldn't think of a better metaphor

Too bad! I'm responding lol

We don't do that because it was too much for many people. We used to but as people got active they got pissed off they were watching so much. So we stopped it as the default.....

But I give you the ability to choose!!

Go there and watch threads you create or reply.

I think it'd be a good idea to indicate LIVE threads in the forum directory with a highlighted or blinking LIVE or indicator.
When visitors scan the forum, they'll see that a thread is live, which I haven't seen anywhere, making it more attractive, and visitors more apt to hang around as well as come back.
This is the age of here and now.
They want TMMAC to bust a load in their mouths.

is there a way to click on a thread, hit watch, and then mark it as unread so that it will be on my unread list for reference later?

as an example, i just opened Wild's "fight night denver" thread and hit watch. i wanna see the video, but im not ready to immediately watch it. if no one comments going forward, it wont bump back into my unread list...

btw. its not a game changer if its not available or if a heavy lift to produce. what i mean is, one of the 2 big reasons i left a different site was because the block feature didnt work. that was literally a game changer. this feature probably applies to a small population who use the site the way i do. and even to me, itd be cool, but not a game changer just as an fyi

(for any lurker or newbie reading this, dont get the wrong impression. this site is amazing)

Do posters have the option to lock threads they have created?

I'm about to start making some Conspiracy threads and would like to keep the thread locked till all information has been posted....

Think it would be a useful option for posters. then you could obviously have Admin/Mods with the ability to unlock threads at their discretion should this power be abused by the TS.
