Im finally about to rejoin the workforce. Im going to relook at audible before looking up humanitarian ish. I heart audible! I'm audibullin right nowShit, I got some work to do. I've been blowing my time on audible and studying.
I've seen Manhattan and Rebel without a Cause.
Did you randomly choose the older films here?
Most of the Woody Allen films were on the Turner Classic Movie channel. I watched the older musicals cuz I read they were influences on La La Land. Some I have on blu-ray. I specifically buy blu-rays from a company called the Criterion Collection that restores classic and influential films from around the world.Shit, I got some work to do. I've been blowing my time on audible and studying.

Watch the 1968 film called The Swimmer. I've yet to find someone who has seen it. It's fookin' mesmerizing imo.Shit, I got some work to do. I've been blowing my time on audible and studying.

This one? The Swimmer (1968) - IMDb I watched a trailer for that recently and thought it looked cool. You liked it? A lot of times the older movies don't translate...Watch the 1968 film called The Swimmer. I've yet to find someone who has seen it. It's fookin' mesmerizing imo.

u know paterson well? as a bus driver there, he prolly got to see some interesting stuff. and people from a bunch of different walks/stages of life. im interested in this. thanks for the heads up![]()
Paterson (2016)
It's a film about a Paterson, NJ bus driver who is also a poet. There is no plot. There is no conflict. It's about observing the world and appreciating the small things it offers. This is certainly not for everyone but I am a big meanie so I love it.
4.25/5
I've been there twice. Once as a little kid to see the Great Falls. The other time was as a teenager to go to some party. My friend's car was broken into and I've never been back since lol.u know paterson well? as a bus driver there, he prolly got to see some interesting stuff. and people from a bunch of different walks/stages of life. im interested in this. thanks for the heads up

I know some of the history of Paterson. It's really the birthplace of the American Industrial Revolution. The film talks about some of the poets and musicians from Paterson and touches on the history of anarchism there. Quite an interesting place.
Oh yea, that's where Jon Jones stopped that mugger before his Shogun fight lol.
Paterson Mill Survey / City of Paterson, New Jerseyjon stopped the dude in newark, close to prudential arena no? close enough tho
interesting tidbit about the american industrial revolution. i feel like paterson and/or the surrounding towns, are full of abandoned redbrick factories that were probably part of that at some point
Seems like the majority of the movies on this thread, really.Self-loathing, glutton for punishment I suppose.
I'd recommend all the films of Denis Villeneuve.Arrival 4/5
Best movie I've seen this year. Lots of thoughts on it but the short stuff is its original, draws you in and unpredictable
Members I'd recommend it to would be @Splint@sparkuri and maybe @Itchy Red Hemorrhoid depending if he is ever a little serious. Language is a major part of the movie.
Thanks. I just found out that one of the channels on Kodi arranges movies by wrotter or whatever. I quick look at your link I see Blade runner which I've been wanting to rewatched as an adult for a while.I'd recommend all the films of Denis Villeneuve.
Denis Villeneuve
I really liked Arrival. I'd put it in my top 10 movies of 2016. The same director made the sequel to Blade Runner that comes out in October. He's remaking Dune as well.Thanks. What did you think of Arrival?
Will do. Also seeing Sicario which has me interested. Once we move and I get my media room set up I'll be watching more. Sort of saving lots of these for when the bigger TV and sound is up and going.I really liked Arrival. I'd put it in my top 10 movies of 2016. Blade Runner is a top 5 sci-fi movie of all time imo. There is something like 7 different cuts of the film. If you rewatch it make sure you watch The Final Cut version.
