7 Baffling Moments From Donald Trump's AP Interview | The Huffington Post

Trump on Wikileaks:
“Never heard of Wikileaks, never heard of it,” he told the AP. “When Wikileaks came out, all I was just saying is, ‘Well, look at all this information here, this is pretty good stuff’... I don’t support or unsupport.”

Trump unaware of the history of NATO:
“back when they did NATO there was no such thing as terrorism.”
Trump on the cost of the wall USA will be paying for:
In his interview with the AP, Trump said “I think I’ll do it for $10 billion or less.” But experts, including in a Department of Homeland Security internal report, have suggested the actual cost could be over $20 billion.
Trump on China:
TRUMP: [Chinese] President Xi [Jinping], we have a, like, a really great relationship. For me to call him a currency manipulator and then say, “By the way, I’d like you to solve the North Korean problem,” doesn’t work. So you have to have a certain flexibility, Number One. Number Two, from the time I took office till now, you know, it’s a very exact thing. It’s not like generalities. Do you want a Coke or anything?

Ivanka Trump gets booed in Germany after saying that Donald Trump “has been a tremendous champion of supporting families”
As Ivanka Trump’s influence grows within the administration of her father, President Donald Trump, so too will the degree to which people hold her personally accountable for his actions.

This was evident in Germany on Tuesday, when Ivanka was booed at a women’s panel she attended along with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

“He’s been a tremendous champion of supporting families and enabling them to thrive,” Ivanka said, as murmuring and booing became audible from the crowd. When the moderator asked Ivanka for her reaction to this — specifically mentioning Donald Trump’s history of misogynistic comments — the first daughter replied that “I certainly heard the criticism from the media and that’s been perpetuated by —”

After trailing off for a moment, Ivanka resumed, “I know from personal experience, and I think the thousands of women who have worked with and for my father for decades when he was in the private sector are a testament to his belief and solid conviction in the potential of women, and their ability to do the job as well as any man.”

Coming to a border near you...

Trump escalates trade tensions with Canada by imposing 20% tariffs on some lumber imports

The Trump administration is slapping hefty duties on billions of dollars of lumber imported from Canada, marking an escalation of trade tensions ahead of the president’s promised effort to overhaul the North American Free Trade Agreement.

The U.S. softwood lumber industry has long complained that competing imports from Canada are subsidized by provincial governments, giving Canadian lumber firms an unfair pricing advantage.

So how will this impact your markets?

Will it drive up the cost of new houses?

I know our dollar has already taken a hit from it.

If you make a post on instagram that is all words and then your caption for it is the exact same thing I just automatically assume that you're a moron.

This doesn't just apply to the Trump account but it's a daily occurrence on his page.

Donald Trump backs off on border wall funding to avoid government shutdown
The threat of a U.S. government shutdown this weekend appeared to recede on Tuesday after President Donald Trump backed away from a demand that Congress include funding for his planned border wall with Mexico in a spending bill.
Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer welcomed Trump’s Monday night comments and noted that there were opponents of the wall among Republicans too.

“It’s really good news that the president seems to be taking the wall off the table,” Schumer said on the Senate floor on Tuesday. “It would remove the prospect of a needless fight over a poison pill proposal that members of both parties don’t support. … If the threat of the wall is removed, as I hope is the case, our negotiations can continue and we can, hopefully, resolve all of the outstanding issues by Friday.”

Donald Trump sees another order blocked by a judge’s ruling
A federal judge on Tuesday blocked a Trump administration order to withhold funding from communities that limit co-operation with U.S. immigration authorities, saying the president has no authority to attach new conditions to federal spending.

U.S. District Judge William Orrick issued the temporary ruling in a lawsuit against the executive order targeting so-called sanctuary cities. The decision will stay in place while the lawsuit works its way through court.

So it looks like Mexico(or rather a Mexican) will be paying for the Wall.

Ted Cruz Calls for $14 Billion Seized from 'El Chapo' to Fund Border Wall

Cruz: Take Billions Seized From El Chapo to Pay for Border Wall

Ted Cruz wants 'El Chapo' to pay for Trump's border wall - CNNPolitics.com

Yep, everything is falling in place to MAGA.

The US gov't is already attempting to seize these assets from El Chapo, no?

Smoke and mirrors.

First off, the gov't wont get $14 billion cash from $14 billion worth of drug dealer assets. The resale value on drug lord assets is less than full value.

All Ted Cruz's bill will do is take the money from one spending avenue within the gov't and allocate it to the wall. If Ted didn't come up with this idea, the $14 billion in assets would still acquired by the American gov't as they do with all proceeds of crime they can get their hands on.

So really, the USA is still paying for the wall.

Workers endured long hours, low pay at Chinese factory used by Ivanka Trump’s clothing-maker
Workers at a factory in China used by the company that makes clothing for Ivanka Trump’s fashion line and other brands worked nearly 60 hours a week to earn wages of little more than $62 a week, according to a factory audit released Monday.

The factory’s 80 workers knit clothes for the contractor, G-III Apparel Group, which has held the exclusive license to make the Ivanka Trump brand’s $158 dresses, $79 blouses and other clothes since 2012.
