Every woman at the gym lately is wearing these




They are all much larger than this picture. Is there an infomercial or something going on? Just showed up in droves.

The body shaper trend started years ago in Colombia/South America. There are massive companies down there that manufacture all types of these things. The workout shaper is just one type.

They eventually made their way up here, but another boost in popularity is thanks to Kim Kardashian's posting of Instagram photos of herself wearing one when she works out.

I have a Colombian friend who used to have carts at 7 different malls in the tri-county area selling these things. He said that work was exhausting so now he just has an e-marketplace. Because it's new and almost all of the ones he sells are imported, his profit margins are insane.
