I don't see nothing wrong with anything Jones said, I do agree it's no one's business whether he is clean or a junkie and if he is a good person or not. I just have this foresight of him being a beloved retired legend in 20 years and young people wishing they'd been able to see him fight and most of the people who were able to do it were more concerned whether he was a good boy scout or not when he was active.
He is a decision champ...name a former fighter who won mostly decisions and is a beloved retired legend.
Jon is a great fighter but I feel he is overhyped...He does win fights but his amazing finshes are kinda far and few.
And he does have a dirty fighter asterisk and also a confirmed PED asterisk.
Finishes over...
Sonnen tko(mw journeyman)
Belfort sub(mw)
Lyoto sub(mw)
Shogun by tko(LHW legend coming off blown second blown ACL in 2 years) Impressive win for sure
Rampage by sub(good win but page is page)
Bader(meh losing streak Tito Koed him)
Vera(meh)
Matyushenko(very Old)
The only surprising result in those finishes is Rua IMO...all others were expected and not surprising.
5 decisions in last 7 and those came against his best comp
Not exactly a must watch from where I am sitting.
That is just my opinion....Fans gravitate towards different types of fighters and that is great.
Jons most amazing attribute is that his frame can still make 205...that is his best asset and biggest advantage....As a fan I don't really gravitate towards Size advantage guys.
