He also says that if he were asked to end an investigation because of political reasons then that would be a big deal. And he says that hasn't happened.
He says the department of justice haven't asked him to end it. It's all part of the initial line of questioning started from when she specifically asks about individuals in the DOJ.

Well that's how I know about it. How did you hear about it?
You think at least the intelligence services wouldn't tell the og source an other allied intelligence services about it that the info + source might be compromised?

Donald Trump’s campaign reportedly had at least 18 undisclosed contacts with Russian officials
Michael Flynn and other advisers to Donald Trump’s campaign were in contact with Russian officials and others with Kremlin ties in at least 18 calls and emails during the last seven months of the 2016 presidential race, current and former U.S. officials familiar with the exchanges told Reuters.

The previously undisclosed interactions form part of the record now being reviewed by FBI and congressional investigators probing Russian interference in the U.S. presidential election and contacts between Trump’s campaign and Russia.

Six of the previously undisclosed contacts described to Reuters were phone calls between Kislyak and Trump advisers, including Flynn, Trump’s first national security adviser, three current and former officials said.

Conversations between Flynn and Kislyak accelerated after the Nov. 8 vote as the two discussed establishing a back channel for communication between Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin that could bypass the U.S. national security bureaucracy, which both sides considered hostile to improved relations, four current U.S. officials said.

In January, the Trump White House initially denied any contacts with Russian officials during the 2016 campaign. The White House and advisers to the campaign have since confirmed four meetings between Kislyak and Trump advisers during that time.

Senate investigators: Flynn won't honor subpoena

Retired Gen. Michael Flynn will not cooperate with the Senate intelligence committee's subpoena request for documents regarding the former national security adviser's interactions with Russian officials.

"Gen. Flynn's lawyers said he would not honor the subpoena, and that's not a surprise to the committee, but we'll figure out on Gen. Flynn what the next step, if any, is," committee chairman Richard Burr, a North Carolina Republican, told reporters Thursday morning.

The committee, which is conducting an investigation of Russian interference in the election separate from the Justice Department, issued the subpoena last Wednesday.

"We're continuing on with a lot of interviews and through those interviews it leads us to additional document requests and additional individuals we'd like to talk to," Burr said.

The committee, Burr said, has completed over 30 interviews with officials involved with the campaign, and the number of individuals continues to grow as the investigation continues.

Are stock markets losing faith in Donald Trump?
U.S. stocks got hammered mid-week, dropping to lowest level since election

"It's certainly a day when the chickens are coming home to roost," Donald Selkin, chief market strategist at Newbridge Securities, told Reuters.

On Wednesday, the U.S. dollar fell dramatically, giving up the gains it made since Donald Trump took office. Bank stocks were clobbered. And tech stocks fell 2.8 per cent. Then there's the VIX. Technically it's a measure of the implied volatility in markets. Colloquially, it's known as Wall Street's fear index.

It soared 46 per cent on Wednesday.

Senior Administration Official: Trump Looks Like 'A Complete Moron', And Other Trump News From Friday
Senior White House Official Now Target Of FBI Probe: Sources tell The Washington Post that a senior White House official is now a person of interest in its investigation of Trump's Russia connections. The sources did not identify who the individual was but maintained that it was someone close to the president.
Rosenstein Contradicts White House In Testimony: In closed door testimony given to Congress today, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein contradicted the White House and told Congress that he knew that James Comey would be fired before he wrote the memo outlining why his beliefs about Comey. Rosenstein said, however, that he wrote the memo independently and stands by its conclusions.
Pence Kept In Dark On Flynn Misdeeds: NBC reports that Mike Pence and his team have been kept out of the loop on Michael Flynn's alleged misdeeds — that he acted in support of Turkey after taking lobbying money from them. The revelation shows a disturbing pattern of Pence repeatedly being misled or lied to when it comes to Flynn.

Trump signs $110 billion arms deal with Saudi Arabia

President Trump signed a multi-billion-dollar arms and economic deal with Saudi Arabia Saturday in a move intended to strengthen the U.S.-Saudi Arabian alliance against ISIS on the president's first foreign trip.
That bomb killed like 36 fighters and one base.

With all the rhetoric during the campaign, I expected to see more by now. I guess 'utterly destroy' means different things to different people.

“I know more about ISIS than the generals do. Believe me.” - Donald Trump

Family of slain DNC staffer Seth Rich sends 'cease and desist' letter to Fox News contributor

The family of slain Democratic National Committee staffer Seth Rich is threatening legal action against a man it says has peddled politicized conspiracy theories about the murder of the 27 year-old, who was shot as he was walking home in the District of Columbia late one night last July.

A lawyer for the Rich family sent a cease and desist letter Thursday to Rod Wheeler - a private investigator and Fox News contributor who had been working on behalf of the family.

Citing Wheeler - who was, in turn, citing an anonymous federal investigator - Fox News and its local Washington affiliate reported last week that Rich had leaked DNC emails to WikiLeaks before he was fatally shot near his home last July. The underlying suggestion of this claim, which has long been a popular right-wing theory, is that Rich could have been murdered for leaking that information.

Twelve days after Rich's death, Wikileaks published 20,000 emails that embarrassed former secretary of state Hillary Clinton and the DNC, and forced the ouster of its chairwoman.

D.C. police have repeatedly said they believe Rich's murder was the result of a botched robbery. No arrests have been made in the case.

The Fox reports, which gained traction on social media, said that an FBI forensics examination showed that Rich transferred 44,053 DNC emails and 17,761 attachments to a now-deceased WikiLeaks director.

The family has rejected this story, and demanded a retraction from Fox. Wheeler has since recanted parts of the story, saying he was misquoted and had no direct knowledge of the identity of the federal investigator or the investigator's findings.
...

Ed Butowsky, a Dallas financier who regularly appears on Fox's business channels and on other networks, had been paying Wheeler to investigate the case for the family. A spokesman for the Rich family said that Wheeler had offered his services to the family, "claiming he wanted to help."
Family are literally threatening to sue over these lies, and the guy who claimed it has recanted.

Chaffetz resigns at career pinnacle after years in spotlight

U.S. Rep. Jason Chaffetz's ascent to national prominence leading a House oversight committee was rooted largely in his embrace of the spotlight and willingness to take on confrontations.

But the 50-year-old Utah Republican said this week that he's stepping aside from Congress next month during the prime of his career and just as his committee was poised to investigate President Donald Trump's firing of the FBI director.

It's a probe that could have allowed Chaffetz to prove he was sincere when he promised constituents at a raucous February town hall that his job was "not to be a cheerleader for the president."

Some political analysts in Utah have suggested the former public relations specialist is making a political chess move to avoid constant attacks about his perceived lack of zeal in investigating Trump and the difficult position those investigations would put him in with his own party, especially if he runs for Utah governor in 2020.

Chaffetz acknowledged the speculation but insisted to reporters that "the overwhelming driving force" of his resignation was a desire to spend more time with family as he realized he was in a mid-life crisis.
Russia probe heats up. Chaffetz needs more time to spend with his family. lol
