Just a heads up about a decent opportunity to learn the game a bit more. There is a brand new KT org that has opened up called Dynasty K-1.

KT Orgs are basically the game's version of Kickboxing / K1 fights. No ground game involved, Striking and Clinch are involved as normal.

The reason this can be useful to newer players is that you don't have to focus on as many skills to succeed. Whereas in MMA, you kind of needs elements of striking, clinch and grappling to be successful, you only need the standup skills (Punches, Kicks, Elbows, Knees, Clinchwork and Striking Defense) to be successful.

Note though that you should also improve your Wrestling along the way since Wrestling is hugely important for the clinch.

Yo G @GBK16 is there any knowledge you can drop on us about TWGC? Seen a bit of info on it in the forums, but a lot of it is from like 4 years ago and it's all fairly dense to get through

Anyone interested in getting a second BJJ sparring session a week in at Kangaroos? I've got a couple guys who could use the extra sparring and Tuesdays seem free at the moment.

Reminder to everyone competing at SFC 10 that the card is in Tokyo not Sydney. Before it comes up again here's a quote from the forums about how to use the auto-flight exploit to avoid energy loss and having to pay for the flight:

"It [the flight] gets booked 48h before the fight start, you get a mail that an auto-flight has been booked. To cancel it you go to Map, which can be found up in the panel you have on the right side of your screen(you know My fighters, Fight offers etc. - Map is slightly above). When you open the Map menu, scroll down to see a "Schedule Flight" hyperlink text. Click on it and it will direct you to a page where you could see all booked flights for your fighters - booked by you or auto-flights. Next to each flight there is a "Cancel" button, click on it, confirm and it is done. Here is the link to the menu but guessed it would be better for you to show you the path to it so you don't have to ask for a link every time:

it seems a lot of people still dont know about this (and we have been posting about it since day one of this thread lol )

this is how you travel to the event without losing energy, and pay only 20% of the travel cost......NO hotel needed.

Fuck me!!! Damn that pisses me off that I missed those posts. Well now I know for future reference but that's an expensive lesson on my part.

An hour and a half away from our most exciting and stacked event yet.

I am dying to see the outcome of my fight between Tyler Bate and Quincy Hanley.
His boxing has popped 5 times since we signed to fight and I don't even understand how someone can learn that fast, but since it is an openweight fight I started taking weight gain supplements to try and counter-act his massive skill advantage.

hah yeah i'm excited for this card but worried about tuny in the ring against a grappler. hanley/bate is the first true grudge match of sydney fc. how much weight did you gain ?

Only 5 pounds or so, still want to get down to featherweight eventually but I needed to find some sort of advantage going into this fight. Praying a 23 pound weight advantage will be enough to overcome a massive skill disadvantage.

After tomorrow nights event, I'll update all of the rankings though. I was going to tonight but forgot about tomorrows event too.

Bate got destroyed. No idea why he didn't throw anyyyyyyyyyyyyy strikes. His counter wasn't that high.

god damn, shit obviously didnt end well for me either....dominating the fight from start to finish and get subbed in 3rd round to lose my belt....two new champs tonight.

On a positive note, Joey Diaz beat a fighter into submission tonight and I made well with Hanley's manager even after he KO'd my favorite fighter.

yes! positives indeed...i was worried he wasnt going to take kindly to you running the division he is in (or was in...i sent him a new contract proposal) we also jumped from 42nd worldwide, to 36th, and from 3rd in sydney, to 2nd (although, the org in third has been inactive few months) annnnnd SFC 10 had highest rating out of any event as of yet.

Heads up about the weight thing, it's actually advantageous to be the lower weight fighter. Energy is one of the most important things in a fight, along with skills and sliders, and the less you weigh, the more energy you recover during the fight. I tend to try and stay a maximum of 5lbs natural weight over the weight class. So for example, if I am fighting in the 170lbs division, the most I would want my fighter's natural weight to be is 175lbs.
