Have an interview Monday for a very large fleet at their local shop and a position that I've waited for for over a year. The guy in the spot is finally retiring. They told me to wear blue jeans and my work boots... is that weird? Going to be working on mostly hydraulics and can make up to $120k per year if I'm down with the over time, which I definitely am. Great benefits, Snap-On tool credits for attendance, Gatorade provided daily along with ice cream on evening break. I know two people that work there and one at their headquarters, so I know the recruiter isn't blowing smoke up my ass.

Dude they gonna skill test ya.

I had to work a 2 day one once.

They want to make sure you don't show up in a shirt and tie (I've had this happen a couple times even tho I told them to wear work gear)

Be friendly and talk to whoever they put in front of you, they are seeing if they think you will get along with others there as much as making sure you can back up the resume.

They're also moving to a shop twice the size of the one they're in now with more updated technology and every tech will get their own laptop with diag software.

Got the offer today. Guaranteed $70k, but my friends are making into $100k from all of the over time. Even at $70k, that's well above the median for my area. Start with 10 days vaca and 5 days personal. The best insurance options around here. 401k match to 6% and $.50 to the dollar match to 9%....
