cops have not said much yet.

the woman's version was that she and this guy were out "frogging" at 4am on an ATV, cop followed them in his car then stopped them and asked for ID, they didnt have any and for some reason it got heated, the guy and the cop get into a fight and the guy hits the cop a couple times, cop pulls his gun and the guy gives up and is on the ground on his stomach with his hands behind his back, cop shoots once for unknown reason, the girl says she jumped on the cop and bit him to stop him from killing the guy and the cop immediately fired 3 more times.

ok, that sounds insane and hard to believe.

eventually the police say that the officer was in the area responding to a possible burglary, and then some time later they pick up the woman and charge her with attempted murder, but still have not released the full story of what happened according to the officer.

of course people are already going nuts claiming all sorts of things, but that is pretty predictable...

another odd thing about it is that 2 years ago this guy supposedly tried to steal an ATM with a backhoe and fired shots at officers responding, yet somehow he only pled (fuck "pleaded" it doesnt sound right) to one charge of criminal destruction of property and got 5 years?? and somehow he was never actually put in jail??

"At that time, police said they received a call at 3:45 a.m. from Savoy Hospital ER; someone reported that the Citizen's Bank was being robbed. A security guard from the hospital reported the backhoe used to steal the ATM had turned down Cherry Street, which is behind the hospital.

The officer who responded found the backhoe, which is when the suspect allegedly starting firing rounds at the patrol car. At the time, police said they found twelve shell casings that were shot out of an AR 15 Assault Rifle near the backhoe.

Guillory was charged with theft of the backhoe, Attempted Murder (for allegedly firing at the officer), Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property over $150,000.00, Criminal Damage to Property over $800.00, Criminal Damage to Property – $400.00 and Felony Theft - $100,000.00.

In December 2016 he entered a no contest plea to a charge of simple criminal damage to property exceeding $50,000 and was sentenced to 10 years in prison, with five years suspended. He was to serve five years probation following his sentence. The remaining charges were dismissed."

This happened right near me and you never have the black people here say "let's go frogging until sun up homie". Yes, they ride horses and are country, but you won't catch them next to a lake or bayou in the dark alone like that.

The guy with the light shines along the bank of a pond looking for frogs - easy to spot because their eyes shine from the flashlight beam. With the light on them they'll freeze, then the other buddy goes over there and spears them.

Cut the legs off from their body just above the tail bone, skin em and throw them on a fire. A damn good meal at 3 AM.

I guess the beer is optional.

We go out to these islands in the southern part of the Atchafalaya basin and camp. We bring lights, frog gigs, fishing equipment, guns, and our cooking and camping equipment. We'll frog and fish for food with the ultimate goal of bagging a hog and having a cochon de lait on the last day. Even if it's not a big trip like that, we always go out with at least 3-4 people, frog gigs, lights, beer, and guns. The whole man and woman alone on a 4wheeler doesn't fit the norm of a frogging trip.

For lack of better term frogging or gigging frogs is frog hunting. As @Alco Hauler says, it's basically catch, cook and eat. A well known delicacy among manly cultures.

i was going to ask what gear you need to frog, should be easy enough to tell if they had the stuff with them they would need.

if you look at this guy's facebook page he has pictures and video of him out at night after hunting rabbits, teaching his young son how to skin them, teaching him to fish... no mention of frogging that i could find but many pictures of cooked frog's legs. interesting.
