Yes, when they were talking numbers ufc said they would allow conor to fight if they took half of his purse for the "promotion" of the fight (even though they aren't putting the fight on). Conor still gets whatever was negotiates for his buy rate, but his purse is getting raped. Call it a sercharge if you will since he could very well retire after this fight.

Me about the fight you saw
There was 2 sets of guys throwing punches
But it was behind me, uphill and I'm short so really couldn't see much
The only part we disagree on, is that I think Conor actually believes he will win. Guy doesn't have an ounce of doubt in himself in his body.
Most estimates I've heard are less than half, and Conor will still take home 100 million if the fight does as well as it might. Last I heard (which doesn't mean a whole lot since the people who know all have gag orders) was around 40 million for the UFC and 100 million for Conor.
I read an article on a news site (can't remember which) that said it was a 60/40 split with Connor taking the big bigger chunk.
I think that's a legitimate estimate. I wonder if we'll ever find out for sure.
In all honesty, it seems fair. Sure, imagine the take home if he got 100%, except... he would never be in that position without the ufc.
It may have been a Forbes article. If I remember correctly it was from a source in WME. Considering connor wouldn't be in this position without the UFC I think it's fair. Connor will make a shit load on sponsors too and they can't touch that money at all.
They did do him a favor by letting him fight. This will catapult him even higher than he was before, especially if the fight is semi competitive.
I can't imagine the hype that will envelop Connor if he manages to Aldo Floyd in the first round. I don't think it will happen but I would be ecstatic if it did.
He will be the first human deemed worthy of the 6th dimension and will disappear midway thru the post fight interview
