I like the insight in the article, but it would mean a lot more if it were evidence-based. It's more of an editorial that only focuses on one part of a more complicated issue.

Imo, we have posters that have insights that are just as good or more valuable. If you don't need evidence to put out an article these days, @Splinty and @Wild could make money off a TMMAC Newsletter. It could have a section for highlights from each forum (Geek Haven would probably be quarterly though), plus a gossip column for interpersonal relations.

Also, does not address the idea that if your boss is a Trump supporter, you may be less likely to voice your own opinion, or that three of the people named are making money off their crazy talk on podcasts and so are highlighted, etc. Lots of issues here without addressing any examples to the contrary that I'm sure we can all come up with.

2) The personality type likely to be attracted to what was once an outlaw sport in most of the nation that had to fight state pressure just to be able to survive is more likely to be distrustful of government and paternalism.
