Why the hell did they put Gavin Tucker in there with Rick Glenn?

My apologies, I was thinking that this was about the Alex White v. Mitch Clark fight.

That said, upon rewatching, anyone who thinks the Tucker/Glenn fight should have been stopped should go watch ballet. Tucker was defending himself to the end, looking for leg locks, got back to his feet near the end of the 3rd, was still fighting, and if you think the fight should have been stopped then you are a victim of the pussification of fighting, and look at it as a sport. Boo hoo, he got punched in the face. NO FUCKING SHIT, it's a fight, not a glorified sparring session. Either fighter can quit at anytime, if they want to CONTINUE TO FIGHT, then more power to them. I implore anyone who thinks that fight should have been stopped to go fuck themselves, and go watch soccer instead.
You go fuck yourself. Youre part of the problem.

Thank fuck youll never be a ref.

There were several times where he wasnt intelligently defending himself and wasnt offering any meaningful offense. He took a beating he shouldnt have. Maybe you should so youd have a more empathetic point of view.

Anyone can tap if they want to. If he wanted out, he could have tapped at any time, either with his hand or verbally.

Guess what, as a pro fighter, there is always a chance of taking a beating.

Go back to watching Riverdance, you fucking poon.

"Oh he got punched in the face in a fight"
Waaaahhhh.

You gonna cry for me Ralphie? Cmon Ralph cry for me. You fucking poon.

(For the record, I have plenty of scars, and I earned every single one of them.)

If Riverdance isn't your thing, there is always figure skating...

It's a case of being too tough for your own good you dingbat. That's what the ref is there for. Maybe if you had a ref everytime you got your ass kicked bad you'd have a few brain cells left so you'd understand that this sport isn't meant to be about maulings and guys getting beaten half too death, it's NOT a street fight, close, but there are still rules and still a referee there who's supposed to stop unnecessary beatings.

Fuck you're retarded.

"He got punched in the face"

No, he got four bones broken in his face, was bleeding everywhere and it should've been stopped way earlier. You're trivializing it.

Ever heard of Gerald McLellan? You should watch his documentary. Maybe then you'd have a better understanding of what the fuck is at risk when taking unnecessary damage and poor officiating.

Clueless and brainless.

Well I'm glad you prefer glorified sparring matches more than real fights where fighters (not just athletes) try to finish their opponent. Kindly fuck off now and put me on ignore and go watch the world championships of paddy cake.

Do yourself a favor and go buy some of the old school bare knuckle, no rounds, no weight classes UFC and learn what a fight is. Thank me later.

I haven't watched the fight yet, but a TKO loss would have been better for Gavin Tucker's career than being only the second fighter in UFC history to have a judge put him on the losing side of a 10-7 round.

No hope of a comeback, just taking more damage. No glory in making it to a decision loss that lopsided either. Not sure who benefited from the fight not being stopped. I doubt the Alberta commission is going to sack their lead referee, but he needs to face some sort of real reprimand for this, like being forced to take some classes on how the fuck to do his job.

The ref should stop a fight if a fighter isn't defending himself or not fighting back, tucker was constantly doing both, especially on the ground trying for sweeps and leg locks. (The last knee he took on his feet might be a different story but there was only a few seconds left then.)
But he can't just stop the fight because it's not competitive and he deems someone doesn't have a chance.
If anyone let him take too much damage it was his corner men.

I like how you didn't even bother to quote me as if I wouldn't notice.

Little better than muttering under your breath.

And you call me a poon. HA! Can't even take a verbal beating on the internet.

Bitch.

You need to go watch street fights on WorldStarHipHop and leave the sporting world if MMA is too much sport. That's what it is, a sport, it's a fight, but it's not NHB anymore and it's not a warzone.

You expect too much from these fighters.

Just put me on ignore. it's so much to ask that you read posts other than your own. Fuck it, I'll take the option. Enjoy watching ballet.

Give me a break. Those leg locks were little else than a last ditch effort from getting his ass beat. He was panic wrestling and turtling on more than one ocassion.

There were several moments in that fight where it should've been stopped.

It's fights like these that give MMA a bad name.

One judge had the lat two rounds as 10-8's, one judge even gave him a 10-7 for the 3rd.

I think you're mostly wrong, but I agree that Tucker making back to his feet counts for something.

Yes, he was getting smashed, but he was actively moving and trying things to change that. It is when they're not trying to change things that it's gotta be stopped.
If his corner men didn't think he had a chance they could have thrown the towel in but as long as the ref sees him with it and intelligently defending himself he should let it continue.
