Most carry out their attacks alone or in a small group, but they are not "lone wolves" when it comes to their beliefs and the support they have for their attacks.

The world is a bizarrely small place. When I look something up on social media I can often see I'm only a couple of links away from the event that's been occurring on the news.
Sorry you have to be put closer to this. If you are comfortable, we would have course appreciate any insight you get in the coming days that might not be available to the rest of us.

Well there isn’t much to give away. We didn’t talk much in the last year or so. He was a high roller in Vegas and Reno. Made a living gambling. Not sure I can give much more away right now. No info that we have relates to this situation but we’re still a bit freaked out. Press has been calling my wife’s parents place. They’re already starting to find us on FB.
What’s weird is, I didn’t hate the guy. He treated us very well in the past. He got tickets for my wife to see UFC 189 when she was in Vegas that year. I’m sad he’s gone but reconciling that with the tragedy that he created is impossible. I’ve never felt this way before.

Run, hide, fight for all terrorist attacks.
I see these videos where people are rendering aid in place. Don't do that. Get yourself safe. Get victim safe if possible. You can't hurt somebody moving them if the scene is unsafe.
In the event of a shooting injury, if you know where the hospital is, move the person via private vehicle immediately. There's some evidence that waiting on an ambulance has a higher risk of death.
The terrible realization about all these videos is that no one knew the shooter was in an elevated position. So everyone goes flat expecting a ground level firing. They all became sitting ducks as the shooting continues. Guy was just spraying and they laid down for him
