Trump has been unusually quiet these last few days in regards to North Korea, what gives?

Nixon's madman theory never had Twitter
Ha. You're giving Trump more credit than I am. I don't know that his tweets are all that calculated.

But if it works in getting NK to chill the fuck out, I'm all for it.

NK isn't an island and they aren't protected by the preeminent military super power. If a SK spy can report on what's coming out of his meetings he can damn well put a bullet in his head.
You would have to kill the whole top sect of that regime. And we dont really know who every one is but it probably isnt just a rubenesque 30 year old.
One of the concerns that the US proportedly has is that if you start targeting the high officials and they start dropping like flies one by one, the remainder they will get nervous and order the lowly generals at the artillery level to start raining lead and explosions. North Korean warfare will probably resemble imperial japanese kamikaze philosphy where they just give all that they got where ever they can get it rather than giving up. The regime knows they are toast if they get toppled so i imagine they have no problem creating a situation where hundreds of thousands of lives are lost if they get attacked and the blame squarely laid on the US. Thats how psychopaths reason their mortality and ensuing devastation of others as being not their fault but yours.

I remember I was reading that SK/ US intelligence thinks they have kim jong un decoys and that if he were killed they would continue to run the country with the decoy and that they likely use decoys at public showings. This indicates that there is 2 problem in that we may set off war by assassinating the decoy and or that even if we successfully assassinated Kim that intelligence thinks that Kim is not really running the regime and hes merely a puppet and the regime is actually masterminded by others that would just use a decoy in a situation if the real Kim ever got ice. I think ultimately that this all leads down to the conclusion that a move isnt being made because we dont know enough about the possible repercussions because we dont know enough about the regime and their militery capability and the locations of their arsenal and we dont have a organized method of attack to subdue all these variables with the intention of having as limited amount of casualties and destruction as possible.

cant we just drop some smallpox blankets on them and wait for nature to take its course
Targeted chemical warfare is likely the most reasonable course of action but they have that technology too and they know what it is. They will be very good at recognizing they have been attacked and they could easily attack South Korea and Japan with chemical weapons in retribution. Then you will probably land in a front row seat of war crime time out and the "not another war" weary middle road American public will not like this. Ultimately you do have to worry if the American public doesn't approve of any war campaigns since they are paying for it and will likely use their votes to punish the government party that decided to proceed in the next election.

Pyongyang is dangerously close to Seoul. That's why the US military moved its base further south recently.

The NK regime undoubtedly has a shit ton on conventional weapons pointed at Seoul. If they're attacked, those weapons get sent off immediately, putting the lives of millions of innocent civilians in danger.

We would have to be 100% sure that we could destroy all launch facilities before the North Koreans could launch a counter-strike.

We're not dealing with a regime that plays by the rules of war.
The greatest logistical problem with warfare in Korea is terrain. This isnt a desert or fields of glat land. it is very hilly and mountainous. You can shoot and blow it up all day and it will still be standing.

And Russia now concern trolling to justify their own military buildup with frenemy China.

Russia says it will react to US missile expansion in South Korea

Of course managing North Korea removes the Thaads, but this is a better play for Russia.
Russia and China just loves how financially draining and mentally debilitating such a little country like North Korea is on the US and their allied forces. They abdolutely love the little nightmare they created. Its a great distraction ftom the US playing policeman on them while they play theives and robbers.

They don't want to. This is what they want.
They are happy as pig in shit to have the USA and China stuck.
China could absolutely sink North Korea but they dont. They may want Kim to tone down the sabre rattling but they dont want him or at least a west hostile regime to be removed from power completely. One of their state nationsl newspapers summed it up quite well that they dont particularly care if Kim stays or not but if the US attempts regime change then China will come out swinging. Kim is useful to their domination of the South China Sea.

NK were disarming until Bush named them in the Axis of Evil. Now they've seen what happened to Libya after they disarmed. There's no way it works now, but neither will the U.S. invade now they have nukes either. U.S. has to recognize that N.K. is a nuclear power and treat them as such, although, it might provoke Japan and S.K. to create their own programs.
There is truth to this as well. Historically the US has "provoked" North Korea by bringing in nuclear weapons to the penninsula and amending the armistice to North Koreas objections. This is what started the road to NK seeking nuclear proliferation. Then the US started practicing joint drills with South Korea waging mock invasions on the dmz year after year, again to the objections of North Korea. These sort of events are what the Kims have refered when accusing the US of constant provacation. Technically yes these are provacations. However there is no room in the modern world for a nuclear hermit kingdom. If we could be sure they would just sit on this technology as a deterent like they claim then thats one thing. However if you have nothing to eat but weapons you will probably barter those and the people looking to buy are in a conflict of interest with US initives. Its ultimately for reasons of trying to prevent the spread of this technology into more rogue hands. We really do not want North Korea to be the next Pakistan. Where does it all end? Then who becomes nuclear next?

what is the problem of norkor for this shit? what do they want to probe? Many innocent countries will be affected too with this insane act.
Did you watch Fight Club and Edward beats himself up to get what he wanted without getting fired? Kind of like that but instead of beating yourself up you aquire weapons.

Don't take this the wrong way but I'm not reading this post (or anything you write) until you have made at least 200 posts at this site.
