#### **Approximate Length** : 5 hours
#### **Notes** :
* Each of the 83 competitors will have to do 2 runs.
* The cumulative time from both runs will be used to determine the winner.
* The first run will last for around 1 hour 30 minutes.
* The second run will last for around the same amount of time starting at 13:45 KST (4:45 GMT / 23:45 EST)
* Slalom is considered to be the most technical and the slowest (at only 40km/h) of all the events in alpine skiing as it has the most turns.

* There were two qualification runs prior to reduce the number of contestants from 29 to 12
* Each person is allowed three runs.
* Each run is given a score out of 100 by 6 judges. The highest score and the lowest score are removed and the middle four scores are averaged to give the final score.
* The score is based mostly on the difficulty of the tricks executed and how well it was executed.

#### **Approximate Length** : 3 hours 15 minutes
#### **Notes** :
* Nordic combined is composed of two sports : ski jumping and cross-country skiing.
* There is one run of ski jumping. Each compeitor is given a score according to ski jumping rules (based on distance, style and weather conditions at the time of the jump).
* The point can then be converted into a penalty time for the cross-country skiing part. For each point behind the leader of the ski jumping part, the competitor will start the cross-country part 4 seconds behind.
* The cross-country part is thus a pursuit race, since starts are staggered but the first one to arrive to the finish is the winner.

* It is a competition against the clock.

* This event consists of 5 laps of 3km.
* In between each lap, there's a shooting round with 5 targets.
* Competitors must first shoot prone (lying), then standing, then prone again and then lying again.
* For each miss, a minute is added to the competitor's time.
* The competitors start staggered by 30 seconds.
* It is a race against the clock. The winner is the competitor with the best time.

* The second run is expected to start at 21:30 KST (12:30 GMT / 7:30 EST). The second run is expected to last another 40 minutes.
*The second run will start with the competitors having the highest first run time and go to the competitors with the lowest first run time.
