I’m a Brennan fan too. I think he’ll do well. I’m not sold on Linehan but we’ll see. I really like bringing back Bo and I love the Faulk hire. Besides being a Tigah legend, he built his pro career on the two things young RBs struggle with, blitz pickups and catching the ball out of the backfield.
Man I remember Faulk running back a blocked field goal for like 90 yards and Death Valley going nuts. I was young and don't remember the damn game now.

I actually might this year. They’re finally doing one at night.
night game sounds like a ton of fun

I wanted to take my boy this year but we will be in NYC (assuming we are not all dead the from coronavirus)

I think more big schools should do a night game, that would be a great atmosphere

so I just read on Reddit that Dan Enos was hired as the RB coach at Cincinnati

Animal Chin @Animal Chin I remember when Smart was first hired and he wanted Enos as the OC, it was very public, but somehow everyone missed he had a clause in his contract that he could not leave Ark for the same position at another SEC school. Ark viewed it as a big win, UGA viewed it as a big loss. Not sure UGA won, based on Coley and Chaney, but I guess it worked out. Dude def has fallen fast

Isaiah Simmons went off at combine

Unreal size, speed and quickness....except nobody knows exactly why position to play him at

4.39 40 at 238 lbs

Probably bulks and plays closer to the line of scrimmage...but I think he would make a crazy strong safety/LB hybrid

That dude needs to be a LBer imo. He’ll shine no matter what though. Crazy speed at that weight. What was his shuttle time?

LSU spring game won't be on campus this year and is being broadcast on ESPN2, so I'm going to pass on attending.

The Athletic is ranking CFB coaches just based on the last few years. I would have lost a bet based on this tidbit about Iowa:

19. Kirk Ferentz, Iowa: This one is going to be a headliner for all those Iowa fans who have never forgiven me for including Ferentz on a “worst coaches” list way back in 2013. The reality is, the FBS’ longest-tenured coach has resurrected his program following a rut of mediocrity.

From 2010-14, the Hawkeyes went 19-21 in the Big Ten. In the five seasons since, they’re 29-15. Their 47 overall wins during that span tie them for ninth nationally. Last year’s 10-3 season and top 15 finish was their best since the 2015 Rose Bowl season. Under Kirk 2.0, Iowa has also become Tight End U, most recently producing NFLers George Kittle, Noah Fant and T.J. Hockenson.

The XFL seems to be hurting Sauce. TV ratings are down and people seem to be losing interest. Imo people don’t want to see anything (long term) that could potentially hurt college football. I do however like a few of the rule tweaks. Surely the NFL and NCAA took some notes.

I haven't been watching as much as I thought I would be, just been too busy lately. I know the attendance has been better than the AAF had, St Louis is doing really well attendance wise. The TV numbers when they get to the playoffs will be key imo.

Odd to see Franklin ranked that high on Feldman's list, he's done great at PSU and he did outstanding at Vandy, but I wouldn't consider him a top 5 coach.

I ain't even mad that Ryan Day isn't on there, but why the fuck is Harbaugh on this list? Dude has been coaching TTUN for 5 years and he has yet to win a big game.

0-5 against the Buckeyes and he's lost 4 bowl games in a row.

I don't agree with the exact order of their list but they gave reasonable reasons behind their rankings. And all of us would come up with different rankings from each other too.

Defend Harbaugh on this list. I fucking dare you.
I don't have to but I can give you their reasons:

Bruce Feldman:

18. Jim Harbaugh, Michigan: The most polarizing figure on this list, Harbaugh is 47-18 in his five years back at his alma mater. Yet it feels like a disappointment because of the massive expectations that came when he arrived, and because he hasn’t been able to beat his arch-rival Ohio State, which has blown out the Wolverines the past two years. Overall, he’s 10-14 against Top 25 teams since coming home. It doesn’t feel like Michigan has closed any ground on the Buckeyes, but he’s still done a lot better overall than what the Wolverines had over the previous decade or so. Harbaugh is on this list, though, because of what he did before Michigan — lifting Stanford from being the worst Power 5 program into one that mauled people and won BCS bowls, and for an amazing turnaround job with the 49ers.

Stewart Mandel does not have him in his top 25

I don't see where having Harbaugh 18th is some crime though. In arguably the toughest, at worst the 2nd toughest, division in CFB. Hard to punish him too much for not beating tOSU when pretty much no one beats tOSU, certainly not with any regularity. Like punishing a team in the SEC West for losing to Saban/Alabama. To say Harbaugh is a top 20 coach is pretty reasonable. If wanted to say he is outside the top 25 probably is too.
