I enjoyed it. nice blend of action & suspense. good casting.

Alan Ritchson is a much better Reacher than Tom Cruise IMO.
I don't know the story or anything. Didn't watch the film..I might stick it on later

I'm planning to start watching it tonight.
TL;DR im only watched 2 episodes so far, but LOVING it

the books are 1st person point of view, so the story follows uhtred alone

my favorite book style is rolling third person limited. the rolling character allows the reader to visit various locations and subplots. and the third person limited refers to the narrator not being "i" and also not being omniscient, which allows for an "unreliable narrator" (people misremember stuff and unintentionally spread lies)

the book is not a straight 1-to-1 adaptation. but personally, i love getting two stories that are different in detail, but the same in terms of their core direction

Vikings Valhalla: it may be a better production than the original series with better acting, but I find myself nostalgic for Lagertha, Ragnar, Bjorn, Floki, and Ivar.
Some parts were lesser production and the sets were lacking(bridge looked too freshly built and of modern construction), and some parts were a bit better than original Vikings worst production seasons.

Characters were indeed lacking in comparison to the original.

Just finished watching John Wick.

Negatives, I'm very tired of directors using music to inform the scene and tell me how to feel. Good character interaction and dialogue do that better.

The cliches afa the story and token characters are sort of bare bones. The dialogue is laughably bad in places, and in other places I'm not sure if I'm supposed to be laughing or not.

Positives, great action sequences. Too choreographed, but still fun. Good stunt work. Tons of squibs and blood spray and head shots, lots of totally unnecessary but awesome head shots. Real shell casings, and flares that I don't think are plug in effects. 4/5

halfway through episode one of the "hit series" bridgerton

is the entire show about dating lives of pompous people who speak ridiculously and dress like weirdos?

Watched “The Adam Project” on Netflix over the weekend. I didn’t have high expectations but was very happily surprised. Ryan Reynolds plays his typical sarcastic/humorous self, but the kid actor steals the show. He is fantastic. The movie has a little bit of everything (humor, drama, action, heart). I was happily surprised and would recommend it if you are looking more for entertainment than Oscar contention.
