I live in Oregon, and I can tell you right now the highest quality shatter or CO2 oil goes for $40 a gram. Maybe $50 at certain shops, but usually around $40. The first link you provided looked to be a shop in California. It's no surprise to see prices that high as the market down there from what I remember was always far more expensive than the Northwest.
Got the job when I was 20. Never planned on doing it for long. They decided to do a shift change and stuck me with 4:30 AM start time. Turned in my uniforms the next day. lol

Started the job in San Diego then transferred back to Orlando, so I lost my seniority when I transferred and got stuck with the shitty option. Was a fun experience while it lasted. Mostly down to earth people that work those checkpoints.
ummm...the first link I provided takes you to a shop in Vancouver Canada on leafly. and every other link I posted says different. and Oregon may be different than Washington or Colorado, I dont knwo I have never bought weed in Oregon. as I said, I can get grams of quality shatter for $25 - $90 a gram. and the higher it goes is better.

Nectar is a good store, but they're a little on the pricey side overall. With the over saturation of shops in portland, it's not hard to find people who sell product at a reasonable price. Like you said "I can get shatter for $25-$90." I can too. I'm just not silly enough to pay $90 for a gram of concentrate.
On a side note: just because something costs more, doesn't mean it's higher quality. You're getting duped, bud.
its not silly though. it is 100% worth every penny. its not like I go pay that every time. I have only done it a couple times when I feel like getting it.
but the live resins, sap etc are well worth the extra cash.
I aint getting duped if I can look and see the product like everyone else at the store. they have like 30 kinds of "shatter".

Thats awesome!! Thanks bro. I would love to spend a day, well a few days in the lab helping out. I would do it for free just to learn that process. There is a lot to learn. I have been at this for awhile and Im always looking to improve, hence all the questions. Are you able to find out why they use a butane/propane mix?
Its more cost effective. Propane is pretty damn expensive.
they use propane because its easily available, all natural, non toxic, loading ratio.
it isnt use often because its incredibly flammable.
Did you mean butane is more expensive? Are you guys recovering your butane?
I may be wrong but I thought butane was about a dollar cheaper per gallon right now. I could have that backwards though.
I am not current on prices of solvents lol. I have only used propane mix once. butane most of the time for sure.
