Let's talk portable vapes.
I've had the Arizer solo for 2 years now. And the battery is not got any life in it again, won't even let me do two bowls again which ends up costing me quite a bit in weed. This is the 2nd time i will have to replace it (for $50). Plus I will need to buy a new mouth piece as they make them in glass ( which I think adds to a more flavourful hit) and I've now broken my 9th mouth piece. So I will be looking at spending $100 if I want to make my Arizer Solo functional again.
So, my question is, should I spend $100 getting the Solo up and going again? or should I spend twice that or so getting a completely new and different portable?
Anyone have anything good (preferably amazing) to say about any of the other portables? I've had the Whispr but it's ironically too noisy and the mouth piece gets too hot and burns my lush, sensitive lips.
Storz and Bickel have a portable one, The Plenty Vaporizer, looks like a beast. Has a wide diameter bowel so it's a lot quicker apparently and I like the idea of a helical straw cooling down the vapour... but not sure at the cost of making the unit look a lot more conspicuous. Has anyone had one of them? I'm only a little worried in the pics, it seems to have a electric cord attached, which wouldn't make it very portable... Can anyone confirm if the cord can detach?

I have very little experience with vapes. even less with vapes for flowers. I currently have an Fuzion Smart Vaporizer that I got from my dad (he is old school, smokes bowls / joints, I tried getting him on a vape, he bought this and didnt like it, went back to the old ways etc.).
it works good but gets damn hot and I hate it. as I said though. my vape knowledge is more than limited.
I bought a Pax 2 over the summer. Its awesome. No complaints at all. I just hardly use it at all anymore. I should break it out.
I bought half an ounce of Platinum Cookies today. First time I bought flower in at least 6 months. Im somewhat of a Dabaholic, my intake is on average, 1 gram a day. I do not plan on buying wax or making anymore for awhile. I have enough shtuff made and mixed up to fill about 25 more cartridges. I have to stop smoking dabs. My tolerance is just ridiculous. I dont even get high most of the time anymore. So my New Years resolution is to lay off the dabs.
that will happen. I am not a fan of dabs. I must be a weed pussy because the average dab is far too big for me. I smoke small hoots of concentrate at a time. I have a contraption you might be interested in that uses small amounts of concentrate, you make at home, its insanely portable, heats with a lighter and cools within 15 seconds.
I find myself smoking concentrates during the day and flower at night.

Just checked out the Pax 2, looks pretty cool. Like the looks of it, the big chamber and the USB charger.
@BJTT-Pella Can you use it while it's charging? so if the battery runs out, can you just attach the USB and keep using it? and none of the pics seem to have the mouth piece. What's it made from and does it burn your lips after a while?

No. You cannot use it while it charges. It has a cradle style charger. I like it better this way. There is no charge port to break. Just line the contacts up and its good.Cheers

The mouth piece is there, it is just that discrete. It comes with 2 mouth pieces. You must have seen pics with the flat one like this.
See the little gap on the top part? That is where the vapor comes through. I like it. It doesnt look like a smoking device. When the other mouth piece is installed, it looks like something to smoke out of. So prefer the flat one. Here is the other mouth piece.
I should know, this is what I do for work. Go back a few pages and check out the agent orange shatter I extracted the other day

why are some of the concentrates more expensive than the others then? like some are $40 and some are $90. I'm being duped right? derp!
again. stop being so closed minded and think YOU are the be all end all in the marijuana game. dozens and dozens of dispensaries are selling grams of HIGH grade concentrates for 80/g. you cant tell me different man, the proof is right there.

I was actually talking about the price of propane compared to butane in the post you just quoted. And I'm not denying you see grams of concentrate for $80 in stores, but what I'm telling you is that is over priced. That's my opinion, if you don't think so I'm not worried about it. I'm sure if we hung out and smoked we'd get along just fine.
On another side note, it's not like working at mcdonalds and saying burger King is overpriced. I'm the lab that makes the meat for both stores. I don't work at a dispensary.
Mcdonalds creates the burger from ingredients. you create the concentrate from ingredients. if you were looking for a comparison, a dispensary is like a convenient store.

Not really. Ive had at least a dozen of them. I havent been overly impressed by any of them. I do have and use the Vaped V3. Its the best so far.
