Just got done watching a super zoomed in hyper cam recording of an already bad stream on Youtube... in 144p quality. Lol
It took 2 hours to load, and I watched it from all the way across my room, with the video player shrunken down.. all so it wouldn't be so damn blurry. Lol. But I still got to watch it fairly soon after it happened, so that was nice. Thought Floyd was gonna get him in the 12th. Would've been a nice exclamation point on his career.
I think he'll fight again. 50-0 is too tempting to not do down the road. He probably feigns retirement for a while, year tops, then comes back for one last big money fight. gets win #50 and says goodbye
If Cotto beats Alvarez I'd love to see him rematch PBF... I recently watched that fight again and actually took score after each round. it was closer than I thought, and some of those rounds were really tough to score. I could even see an argument that Cotto should've gotten a draw depending on how you score fights and effective defense vs offense.. but Floyd even admits that was his toughest fight, even more so than the Castillo one... that's kinda why I think IF Cotto did win, he'll end up fighting GGG and Floyd will want nothing to do with it.. or he will make him suck all the way back down to 147 and say no catch weight.. since he's a business man first
Either way, gonna be interesting to see what the future holds. Part of me does have this weird feeling that he actually sticks to his word and stays retired. His hands are absolutely wrecked and he's talked a lot in candid interviews about how hard it is to keep getting up in the morning and doing this, day after day, for near 25 years now. Couple that in with badly nerve damaged hands and the fact he hurt both hands again tonight? It could really have been the last time
BTW I heard no hype for this fight really, it'll prob crack a million but will definitely be one of his lower end PPVs. Instead of having momentum coming off the Pac fight and the massive event that was, he has millions of pissed off customers lol. Maybe it won't crack a mil, but I think it will.. never know though. Berto was by far the weakest opponent he's fought and fans have never been as bitter toward him as they were post May 2nd. Last time he did below a mil was a while ago.. but I think at this point, he's such a larger than life figure, he will always do a mil easy. We'll see
