those tecate light taste better than regular tecate but it takes like 20 to get drunk really low alcohol beers

I usually take a decent gulp out of the Tecate and then top it off with tequila. They taste much better that way, plus it ups the octane significantly.

I've never been to Mexico. I hear a lot of horror stories about it being particularly dangerous to travel right now with the drug cartels. Have you encountered any dicey areas? Been told to avoid certain places?

Awesome thread. I used to frequent TJ often when I lived in San Diego. Went down to Ensanada once by taxi at night.

The drive seemed extra spooky to me for some reason. At the time there was cliffs and valleys off to the right side of the road and we were told that those were where the cartels brought the bodies from TJ to drop off.

The cabbie might have been fucking with us but I remember being terrified until we finally pulled into ensenada which seemed kind of like a college party town. I'm trying to think of the club we went to but it was absolutely off the chain. Something like "Senor Frogs?" or similar. Had a great time.
