I still don’t really care for it.

I watched bbt because, I guess, that's what couples do. Never liked it, never hated it, it was just noise.

The little kid show was just good television. Sweet wholesome yet honest stories about how fucked up growing up actually is, and how insane it is to be parents when your just figuring out your own grown up shit.

Young Sheldon is a guilty pleasure.
Its exceeded it's source material.

The beauty of it is all the characters that are forced to deal become far further fleshed out that the 1 joke protagonist.
Its actually beautiful writing and incredibly playful with the horrible character that main character is.

Surprisingly outstanding cast.

I didn't expect for them to pull all stops. They could've just made a silly show with a laugh track, cloned characters from BBT and printed money still but they found a creative way to tell and improve on the story. Sturgis' storyline was brutally honest. Explains why Sheldon regressed as an adult on BBT. He was much more "adult" in Young Sheldon. His father's story was also dramatically improved from the original show and the fact that he never knew the truth is as real as it gets.

Ep1 was the dark episode. Ep2 was the powerful episode. This was the episode they ramped the creep factor up to 11, then finished the last few seconds with "OH FUUUUUUUUUCK".

Just finished episode 4 of From. This was the intense / "WTF!?!" episode.

Also, didn't he fight cancer for a good while? Six feet under was a good white novela if you went into it knowing it was a novela. You are about to judge me but I also have seen Parenthood twice over. I won't watch Gilmore girls for the fear that I'd love it.
