Could they not do a catchweight fight and meet in the middle? Or is GGG "that" much bigger than Crawford.
Well it's just not a viable fight right now. Crawford is at 140 and just unified. He'll go to 147 in probably a year. 3 weight classes apart it'd be very difficult to make.
But GGG is about 168-170 on fight night and Crawford was 153 or so...it's not as big as some might think but putting Crawford in there would be suicide. Theirs no demand for it either.
He's only fought in the states 2x so no he's not very well known. I don't give him much of a chance to be honest. I don't think he can outbox Golovkin and I definitely don't think he can hurt him.
Not sure how much attention you guys give to British boxing, its in a pretty good place at the minute. Also I'm not sure a train can hurt Golovkin but I do feel Brook can outbox him.
Don't recall ever seeing Brook hurt either and he strikes me as the sort of guy who is made for big fights, we're in for a good one.
I pay attention to boxing everywhere. British boxing is looking good with 13 world champions. Brook's chin isn't that good. Jones and Senchenko had him hurt. I don't think he's glass jawed but he can't take Golovkin's power. I doubt he can take his jab.
I wouldn't say he's scared necessarily. I do think he and his team understands he could and probably would get fucked up vs Golovkin win lose or draw. As a boxing junkie I'm annoyed it hasn't happened yet but I understand it. You can fight Khan who's smaller and not as good as Golovkin for a huge payday. I can't completely blame for doing that. I don't condone ducking but in this sport you can get fucked or even killed so make as much money as you can and take as little damage. It's you(the fighters) taking the punches in there. Not your team or manger or your fans,it's you. If you fight GGG you better get every dime you possibly can. You don't fuck around with him.@Stern do you think Canelo is afraid of GGG or he's just waiting for a bigger payday?
And that's not to say it wouldn't be a big fight because it would. It'd put 70K in the stands in Texas.

Senchenko wobbled him yea but Brook recovered fast and knocked him out about a minute later. Brook probably will get ko'd but I'd say he's a better chance than most people are making out.
Week after these 2 go at it we've got Canelo vs Liam Smith, how you see that one panning out? Again with this one I feel people are underestimating Chunky.
Yeah I like Frampton too. He's a very good fighter and a legit P4P talent. Canelo is going to knock Liam Smith ou mid rounds. Also Chunky is DeGale's nickname. Liam's is beefy.
Yea really proved himself in the Santa Cruz fight, he's a bit of a hero over here now.
Canelo on points for me, Liam has a solid defence. Haha shit you're right, I'll put it down to tiredness.
I really like the guy a lot,Frampton that is. I've been high on him for years. Since he beat Kiko Martimez in 2012. I think with his last win over the bigger favored Cruz, people have really taken notice of how good he is. He beat Quigg but it was boring and he's just not all that good. Not that Scott Quigg is a bad fighter but he's just a solid domestic level guy in my opinion.
I think the size and power of Alvarez is going to be too much for Liam Smith. I do not believe he has the power to get his respect. I think Callum is the best of the bunch. I like them all. I wish Paul had gotten the deserved nod over Arthur Abraham during their IBF super middleweight bout in Germany. Liam and Stephen have a belt,Callum will have one in the near future,and Paul would've had one. That would've been a big accomplishment and cool to see. They all seem like great guys helping out with charities directed towards people on the autistic spectrum like their 2 younger sisters.
You watched the 1st Kiko fight? The atmosphere at that was crazy. I like Quigg, he nor Frampton weren't ar their best in that fight and don't forget the fights prior to that Quigg knocked out Kiko in 2 or 3 rounds, the same night Frampton got dropped twice in the 1st against an unknown Mexican.
Did Stephen not recently lose his? I think all the Smith brothers recognise Callum as the most gifted brother and I don't think any current super middleweight beats him either other than maybe De Gale. I think he's the mandatory for Badou Jack as well so won't be long before he's got a title.
Didn't realise it was their sisters, thought it was a little brother for some reason but I noticed they all have 'autism' on the shorts. Also Callums a Liverpool fan, pretty sure he has 96 wrote on his shorts each fight in memory of the Hillsborough victims, great guy all around.
2nd round uppercut. It was impressive but I think Kiko was a little past it by then. Frampton got dropped 2x but I seem to remember one being a balance issue. It was his us debut and he was weight drained. He wasn't at his best but he got up and win the next 11 rounds.
The one thing he does is sometimes he'll abandon his jab. He's better behind it.
Yea maybe not the same kiko that Frampton fought but still a tough guy. I think both knockdowns were legit but they did say something about the canvas being soft afterwards and yea that's when he'd 1st mentioned the move up to fw.
I think it was mostly a thing where he wanted to score a big KO in his US debut. He got up went to work behind his jab instead of trying to be a pressure fighter. He shown a good chin vs the larger Cruz.
He's a pretty big name here in Ireland and obviously in the UK.
Needs more international fights versus big names to get his name out there. He's a really talented guy so it'd be good for him to face some big names. Hopefully tonight's fight is the start of more big name fights for Brook.
I think Kell far from disgraced himself, would like to see him maybe drop back down and fight Garcia or maybe even go and fight Liam Smith depending on how he does against Canelo.
Kell is obviously a tough guy and was doing well, especially compared to most of GGG's previous opponents. Between his eye bothering him and eating all of those body shots his body gave up on him. Smart stoppage by his corner because it was about to get ugly.
I definitely want to see Brook fight again. He's going to be a tough out for most guys at 154 and below.
