the fuckin dumb thing is canada has an average of 600 murders a year. its not like there are school shootings and massacres happening on the regular. the only gun crime problem is the gangs with illegal hand guns . in 2018 there were 249 gun homicides and only 56 were with a rifle or shotgun in the whole fuckin country . the semi automatic gun problem is 100% made up bullshit

Word on the street now is that they're not just going to be talking central storage for handguns, but all guns.

Of course, none of this is confirmed yet but these fuckers are emboldened and nothing would surprise me at this point.

central storage?
Store your firearms at a range of some other designated place. Basically you cannot be trusted with your own property.

Hopefully it's just rumour, but I do believe that drunken moron Blair has floated this idea publically before.

Handguns, might fly, all guns never would. Be very suspicious of what you believe when it comes to politics and Reddit.

Some have postulated that they may try to do this for all laws, then when gun clubs are unable to upgrade their facilities to store the firearms the government will be like "oh well, too bad so sad, nowhere you can store them? I guess you'll just have to turn them in".

May never happen, could all be bullshit (I'm certainly not taking it as fact ATM), however, we're seeing how brazen they are and we know they're not stopping here.

It's just come out that 12ga shotguns that accept chokes are now prohibited. They fall above the 20mm mark.

That's not in the legislation. CSSA made a huge mistake on Saturday and they're trying to deflect. Unfortunately "fear monger" is their only play.

Already is down here, been seeing more of them the past few years.
Yeah, they're popping up a little here. Hugely popular in Europe. I've wanted one for a while, unfortunately they lose a lot of their cachet if they become common.

How so? The OIC does prohibit bores above 20mm and many 12ga without the chokes inserted measure above this.
Now, I'm not saying you're wrong, but I'd like for you to elaborate on your post.

If you take the choke out, you're disassembling the gun. Using it that way will cause irreparable damage. The idea that, that would be the way they're measured is absurd. This is like saying car's don't need hoods because you can take your hood off and the car will still run.

Now, if I were an industry group like CSAAA whom advises businesses I would absolutely tell them "Let's put those in the back room until we get this sorted out."

Now, what the CSSA has done, because they completely embarrassed themselves over the weekend by calling for Bill Blair's firing which immediately caused Blair to start discussing further bans, has taken that information and turned it into another of their fear mongering, give us money, look at everything we do for you, fundraisers.
