Just like Mendes wrestling is way too good, right?Donald is way to big for him. Way to big
Still would like to see a full camp Chad have another fight, would be a different fight I feel. Conor is big for the class and he's great at using that size/reach to his advantage. I think Donald is about 6'1" while Conor is 5'9"? When you have two champs or number one contenders in different weight classes the safe bet is on the larger of the two. If these were mid pack guys I'd say other wise but only because they are both so good at what they do I go with Cerrone every time in this fight. I think Conor would have a much harder time against the top 155ersJust like Mendes wrestling is way too good, right?
Boxing.I had Mendes and he was able to control him until he gassed. Conor won and I picked wrong but if you think he stands a chance with Cowboy you've been drinking far to much kool aid. Donald has considerable amount of size/reach on Conor not to mention better in every aspect. What one thing can you honestly say that Conor is better at than Cowboy?
It would be an interesting fight, for sure, but if someone is claiming it would be a blow out - just like every other fight Conor has had, he would lose in a blow out - then they aren't looking at things objectively.Still would like to see a full camp Chad have another fight, would be a different fight I feel. I strongly disagree. Donald's hands are better as is his footwork.Boxing.
Just to be clear in no way did I say Chad wins. My point is to expect anybody to be title fight ready on short notice is unreasonable. If for some reason a rematch was made and Chad got a full camp it would change everything on both sides and as I said would be a different fight. As far as a blow out I agree. It's fun to take jabs at other members to have fun but at the elite level anyone who predicts a lop sided victory is taking a huge risk with those comments. If we ever do see see a Cerrone vs McGregor fight I will be putting money on Cowboy as it sits now.It would be an interesting fight, for sure, but if someone is claiming it would be a blow out - just like every other fight Conor has he would lose in a blow out - then they aren't looking at things objectively.
As for a fight with Chad with a full camp, he was breathing hard within the first round from body shots at UFC 189, even with a full camp those body shots are going to add up. Conversely, Conor went from preparing for Jose Aldo to Chad Mendes on 2 weeks notice, while his knee was injured and stopping him from doing any live wrestling practice. It was only fully healed from 2 weeks out, but even then they didn't want to risk it in those 2 weeks. The second fight, if it happens, will look different, but I don't see how you can look at UFC 189 and be sure that Chad Mendes would win a rematch.
