My step dad always buys me pork and pickle pies and scotch eggs when I come over because I can't get them here.I lived right on the edge of Mowlon Mobray for a few days and never wet and had one there.

Just realised I have sausage meat in the freezer, loads of thyme, loads of eggs, and breadcrumbs. All I need is scallions, vegetable oil and some salad and I'm going to make scotch eggs for Corona cooking lunch tomozzles.
Melton mowbray. Famous for cheese too. Used to be one of the stops on my train journey.

Completely forgot about scotch eggs. I like the mini ones.might go to English shop tomorrow and mention it to him

No idea how the cunt has been keeping his stock going , I'm sure the borders are closed..

Whenever I see them on a menu here I always buy one, it's charged to the earth because it's apparently some newfangled thing but well worth it.

You're lucky if you have a Brit store on hand, I used to have to go WAY into Amsterdam for Branston, HP sauce, salad cream etc.

I'm dead excited about making them tomorrow. I might consider making Cornish pasties in a few days. They don't have any pork in so I'm allowed.

In SLO there was a restaurant that specializes in pasties
They had Irish stew as well. It went under but it was great while open

There was a pasty restaurant just outside of Fairfax but I didn't ever go. Selling curry pasties for $11 just rubbed me up the wrong way when Ginsters are probably far better for a quid.

Fuck me, I'm going to look proper fat again soon, I'm too scared to put shorts on because I don't think I'll be able to do them up.

Don't you normally sit around doing fuck all? What's changed here apart from you being greedy?

I like to make lamb bone broth
a nice faintly gamey greasy fatty lamb bone broth based stew/soup is nourishing as fuck
we love it...I get bones from the butcher and he leaves some good parts attached...free

So nice on a fall or winter day
we usually make like 3 gallons and put it in jars for the week or freezer pack a few bags

Tastes amazing

That sounds really good.
My wife used to work with a drunk Thai lady. We'd give her and her husband all the bones from deer we'd get so they could make pho. Always said they'd bring us some, never did.

She got fired for being drunk at work all the time and we haven't heard from them since.

it was probably too tasty to share
I have made beef and lamb, I bet deer would be good...not sure what bones to use from deer...maybe cut into some to get marrow involved?(that sounds interesting...hmnn)
brown bones and grisle chunks before tossing in...use crockpot or just large steel pot and slow n low cook it(I add an initial celery carrot onion garlic hit to it, but it breaks down to nothing by the end...but adds thickness to the liquid and texture)...some salt pepper and spices but not too much yet

cook overnight or like 15 hours on low
and then pull bones if they are done
then you cook some brown some good meat as seasoning it and toss it in(chunks)
then add veggies again and potato or whatever in the proper sequence for optimal texture

season to taste
some people skim the fat off the top and just keep the broth
I keep the fat...we are both rural/country at heart

I want to make something with shrimp this weekend. I've already done Skrimp pasta, once maybe twice. Anyone got any other suggestions on what to do with some shrimp?
