If he did it properly his mommy wouldn't have had to step up.
One schoolkid vs a team? Stop being silly now. You're just arguing for arguments sake and that's my schtick.

How long did it take for this play to offend her son? First time it was brought up or until mom told him to be offended?
According to the article, he was mad and told his mum. Did you read it?

I'm kinda stunned to be honest.

A school kid, who's family were murdered as part of the genocide committed by Hitler, is upset at having a team play named "Hitler". He tells his parents, who are also upset. An apology is issued and accepted.

So he's a pussy and his mum can fuck off? Are we back on the OG?

Had a platoon in my battalion with a black guy. They used to chant "ingen Seger utan neger" I think you can figure out the meaning. No one was fucking offended.

and?

Jesus h. Christ people, help a guy out here.

People are free to get offended but why the fuck does everyone have to go around waving their victimhood around and expecting an apology?

This is simply craving attention from the tribe. It's primitive and counter-productive. Fuck your feelings if you can't figure out that you're not the centre of everyone's universe.
So nothing I say could ever offend you? Wanna try that out? :D

what's your point?
That if you TRY to offend me, you can?
Try or not whats the difference? say I said something rude to your mother not knowing you were around but you were and kicked my ass where does that leave your argument?

So she received an apology?
She couldn't have been a parent and guided her son on how to handle that any better than crying?

How would you handle it in a more mature way than raising the issue and accepting the apology?

The difference is that if it doesn't affect me and I know it wasn't directed at me then it's time for me to grow some skin.
I can't see me attacking anyone for being rude to mumsy unless they threatened her. You wouldn't do that.

Tell him that if it really offends him then he should speak to the coach in private. Maybe even let him explain it to me first like he's talking to the coach. Avoid injecting my own personality into it at the outset.

Of course I wouldnt but my point is simply that we can unintentionally offend others, having a play called "hitler" isnt really that unintentional though is it? how did they think that would come off?

Shit needs to stay on the practice field and in the locker room unless an offence is committed. If someone has a problem with something they deem in bad taste then crying to mommy is the WRONG WAY to handle it.

Absolutely valid approach. But I don't see hers as wrong, either and certainly not deserving of the vitriol you guys are dishing out.

No but you're so dysfunctional that your judgment on what is offensive is beyond the scope of what is considered reasonable.
That's just like your opinion man. Point being I don't try to make others act according to my sensibilities.

Well, I don't know about you guys but I'm glad we can all amicably disagree on minutia like this.
