A school kid, who's family were murdered as part of the genocide committed by Hitler, is upset at having a team play named "Hitler". He tells his parents, who are also upset. An apology is issued and accepted.

Tell him that if it really offends him then he should speak to the coach in private. Maybe even let him explain it to me first like he's talking to the coach. Avoid injecting my own personality into it at the outset.
Of course I wouldnt but my point is simply that we can unintentionally offend others, having a play called "hitler" isnt really that unintentional though is it? how did they think that would come off?

Shit needs to stay on the practice field and in the locker room unless an offence is committed. If someone has a problem with something they deem in bad taste then crying to mommy is the WRONG WAY to handle it.
