I'm booked in for the AstraZeneca shot on Friday. I'll take the shitty blood clotting discount rubbish at this point.

Apparently I'm still too young, virile and sexy to get a proper vaccine 7 months into the vaccine roll out.

Fuck you Scotty you fucken goof.

Hmmmm.....I would have thought that if it's spreading prolifically it wouldn't need to mutate.
mutating isnt a decision that the virus has at a board meeting. mutation is a natrual process related to evolution. so the more the virus spreads the more it mutates

lol i dont actually know that to be true. just a guess

Ok. Thanks for pointing out my error in wording.

Mutation can be a board meeting decision when you think of selective pressures initiating a mutation with the goal of surviving.

Different things can trigger mutations, one being immune pressure. Viruses do randomly mutate with replication however some of these can barely be detected and don't always lead to a positive mutation for the virus. When a virus mutates to escape a selective pressure it mutates with a goal so to speak.

I should have said that a virus mutating under selective pressure has a greater potential of creating mutations that lead to being more bad ass.

At least, that's my understanding of the process. I could be wrong, too.

Other states like Wyoming, Arkansas, and Nevada are also seeing an uptick in the number of COVID cases, according to the Mayo Clinic. Concurrently, less than 50% of the population in each of those three states has received at least one dose of a coronavirus vaccine.

“You contrast that to somewhere like New York where about 70% of people have at least one shot and we’re seeing a 40% decline in cases,” Swaminathan said. “It’s a huge, stark difference if people didn’t believe that vaccines were really important. This is a microcosm of exactly that.”

How is it that you're double vaxxed and Sheepdog @Maycee Barber Fan has to sign the waiver to get bloodclot express?
Because he's older than me and lives in a different state.

I would likely be able to get Pfizer in about 2 months, so it seems like an impatient decision but we are right in the middle of an outbreak and I have to travel around the country (if the borders are open). So I figure I'll get some base level of protection for when I'm in disease-ridden airports.

Being a pussy would be not getting a vaccine because it has a 1 in 2 million chance of killing you.

Who knows, maybe I'll get extremely unlucky, but I'd be a bitch not to take those odds.
AZ blood clots were down to 1 in 60k when they pulled the plug on it here.

But most of the blood clot people don't die.

Anyway, I'd rather die of a blood clot than continue this discussion any longer, just thought I'd answer your question.
