From what I have read Merck isn't just on the sideline with this current agenda(my words and opinion), far from it.
I can link some stuff later regarding higher-ups in Merck and some very interesting statements and plans pre pandemic.
They can have all the plans they want, but right now they're sitting on the financial sidelines. Ironically, none of the traditional big pharma companies are coming out the big winners.

I look up and verify everything any messenger says...I don't blindly trust anybody, that never works out well in my experience.
