I read about this last week but was trying to find a credible source that wasn't the Daily Mail.
People can't be fucking trusted to behave like they have more than two brain cells...of course opening everything up en masse was going to create fucking havoc.
Completely anecdotal but they just opened up the majority of Virginia over the weekend and holy crap. Based on what I saw there's gonna to a big pop in cases. Some places were just packed with idiots that were ignoring any safety precautions. I'm not saying that people should have to wear masks or keep some distance but it's silly to immediately go back to previous practice without a care in the world.
Just be wise.. keep your circles small. Cover up if you're in a really crowded place. Wash your hands a couple more times a day.

This is what makes me so fucking angry. All of us not fucking c word adults who took it seriously and didn't go out to parties etc has gone out of the window and we might have to start again.
I would dearly love to hang out with my mates. I miss them terribly. But there's a reason I have the circle of friends that I have...they're not selfish fucking idiots.

BC is starting to open up right now too. the other day when the parks open up the beach was as packed as it gets on a summer day. at this time of year there is rarely that many people on the public beaches as it is still too cold to swim. the lake was packed with boats too. its good to see some life come back to the valley but it seems like people just went out for the sake of going out and immediately ignored any of the safety recommendations . we have been lucky here and there are literally 2 people hospitalized in our health authority right now and our area is huge. we have only had 181 cases total since the beginning in the interior of the province
this is it right here.
If we could all be trusted to behave responsibly then awesome. But people are fucking idiots who ruin it for the rest of us. I hate being locked up. I am so desperate to have a beer with some people. But I'm not a selfish prick. I've been leaving cake and chili sauce and stuff outside my friend's door. I want to hug her and tell her I love her but we just can't.
This almost infers that Daily Mail is credible.
