Something people should recognise is that it only takes 2-5% to shift opinion. Especially when they are seeing it on TV from " reputable sources " like CNN.
The public is so malleable as a whole. But when you add in a little bit of money, it can go along way towards steering public opinion.

When my dad died they tried listing it from Covid, he had another aortic, blood was coming out of his mouth and nose, he was still looking at me before he died and I kissed him and said I love you daddy. I saw covid as the cause and I lost my shit, it got changed.
It was ridiculous, bums that got hit by trains or froze to death had covid as their primary cause. The #s were completely juked.

I think I told this story on the OG. There was a church that was streaming their services. A woman from 45 miles away called to complain the people were standing too close and weren't wearing masks. I was off that day and someone was covering my slot. He called my sarge and asked what do I do with this call, sarge said call her back and tell her we are the State Police, not the Mask Police. Boy she wasn't happy, said she was calling the governor's office. Nothing came from it. I respected my sarge for saying that.
Then when our governor made the mask mandates, during the interview some reporter asked her who was going to enforce that, she said Law Enforcement. That pissed me and a lot of my friends off.
We were getting calls to the restaurant asking about masks.
I made a post on our facebook page.
I swore to uphold the lives, property and constitutional rights of the citizens of Maine.

Tore the medical community in half, literal fights in the halls, 20 year friendships ended. When word got out that we weren't playing that game we had some hospitals stop calling us and 100's upon 100s of applications from across the country.
The world lost its mind. I'm convinced this is what made my ex go crazy, it fucking broke her when she lost her routine and sent her down a path.
It was fucking insanity, I was getting complaints on me because I was gassing up my cruiser not wearing a mask. There was no one around me lol
The one that got me yesterday was when I realized that walmart and the local grocery store are still doing carside pickup, people got fucking lazy during covid. You can't get out of your car and walk inside to pick out your own damn groceries? wtf.
