I was listening to a podcast. A doc 37 recently graduated from med school. $300,000 in student loans. He took a PT job while in med school made $30,000. They bumped him up into a higher cat. to pay back his loans because of that. He is freaking out because he lives in an apt with roommates. This was more about the student loan thread but . . .

Splinty explain to the forum the chances of a 47 year old getting into medical school.

There's usually one in a med school class in Texas and only about half the schools are very non traditional friendly. So I'd say around 1:460 of those that get in would be in their 40s. And usually around 10 interviews per spot. And 100+ applicants per spot. So something like 1:46,000 applicants will meet that profile. And that's not including that I would guess applicants with a good answer explanation and story skew away from that age group.

First thought is, "how long do you plan to practice?"

boom

GF's sister had entire other career in industrial design. Their dad was an ENT. One day she decides she wants to go to med school. She was in her late 20's. She's an ENT dept. chair now and does mostly baha's. She loves making people hear. Kind of funny how's those two curbside each other.

They should really reduce tomorrow's field to Biden, Bernie, Buttigieg, and Harris

Alright not that it matters, but who "won"?
Top performance bonuses of the night:
Castro,
Gabarrd
Booker
Warren
DeBlasio/Deblasio lookalikes? (There were like 3 guys that looked like him. One of them won, or if they morphed into one guy maybe..)

Whoever is running Gabbards Twitter account needs to be fired immediately. The earlier tweet about msnbc pushing Warren and now, after an opponent posts a complimentary tweet (but bitches out and deletes it), it was decided that instead of thanking them and rising above the bullshit political grandstanding, they refer to her actions as a “moment of courage” thus insinuating that McCain is a coward at all times that she’s is not supportive of gabbard.

It’s not a good look for someone who wants to be seen as calm, civil and willing to work with others.

I believe it's her sister running her social media.
