Death stroke with "you don't consider this case from the officer's perspective, or the defendant's perspective. You consider from the perspective of a reasonable officer. And this man <points at Chauvin> is NOT THAT OFFICER! Testimony has shown he did not act reasonably"

really driving a wedge between a 'threat' and a 'risk'. Being big and on drugs is a risk, not necessarily a threat.
Use of force is based on threat, not risk.

" a pain compliance technique without the opportunity to comply is simply the infliction of pain and is not authorized by the Minneapolis Police."

He's also doing an excellent job of framing the defense arguments and blowing them up.

"the crowd made the situation dangerous." That's not going to work. Prosecutor made that about blaming the people who were reasonably concerned about the officers' unreasonable actions.

but what's going to get Chauvin is that the MSP went on the other side of the Blue Wall of Silence.
that's what makes Chauvin's actions indefensible. If they raised their hand and backed Chauvin, it'd be Rodney King all over again.

Chauvin is going to get tired of hearing people mock him with "it takes a lot oxygen to complain" while he's spending the rest of his life in prison.

I'm sure the inmates and guards will never get tired of throwing that in his face.

"people from the community, randomly chosen by fate, coming and going from different places converged at this moment to witness 9:29 of shocking abuse of authority.

to watch a man die.

and there was nothing they could do because they were powerless. They respected the badge, but they cried out. and there was NOTHING they could do but watch. They came here and they bore witness and they gave you everything they experienced, so you could experience it to.

they gave it you. You got a summons in the mail, now you're here. Converged on this spot. We give the gov't the power, but sometimes we take it back. The power belongs to you now. Only you have the power to declare that this use of force was unreasonable, excessive, grossly disproportiate, and there's no excuse for what you saw with your own eyes. This case is exactly the what you saw with your eyes the first time you saw this. It's what you felt in your gut. It's what you felt in your heart. This isn't policing.

Thank You".

Fun fact: Jury trials always have been and always will be retarded.

i'm hoping our Justice Farce is replaced by AI in the next couple decades.
AI show trials. I like it. 'Computer says Guilty'.

Cuts out the tedium and is cost effective.

it'll pass both Houses and be signed in to law as long as I drive the algorithm to generate a consistent growth in the prison population.

Defense is up, Presumption of Innocence and Reasonable Doubt.

this is not a Power-Top position, let's see how he builds.

"We're not trying to prove he's innocent, that's where we start."

Lays out the 3 levels of proof, from Preponderance of Evidence through Beyond a Reasonable Doubt...scales of justice.

Chauvin over there looking like hes aged 10 years. That dumbass knows hes going to prison real soon and hes gonna have to be protected the entire time.

Even if floyd died from drugs and heart issues I would give him a guilty verdict for manslaughter at minimum. I think around 7-9 years would be fair

Sounds like he's going to tell "that one juror" that their doubt is not 'fanciful and capricious'.

He's going to look for a doubt, and try to convince someone that their doubt, if not addressed by the State, is reasonable.

OK - first defense pillar is that Carbon Monoxide could have contributed to lack of Oxygen. Addressing state's rebuttal, says the 98% oxygen level isn't intellectually honest. The EMTs were manually re-oxygenating his blood, so that Carbon Monoxide level...he's trying to find someone who wants to acquit so he can get away from "unreasonable officer".
