Yeah that's pretty ignorant.
Just to clarify, I'm not stating that his religious stance is what I find infuriating.

It's the content he shovels out on his website. Like dinosaurs are a hoax, the earth is flat, that Bill Hicks didn't die and is actually Alex Jones (no bullshit, that's in there. I couldn't make that one up lol)

;)

My ex is trying to brain wash my daughter but left it too late. She showed her a picture from a Korean christian magazine showing a human fossil intertwined with a dinosaur fossil.

My daughter quickly pointed out that the picture was a drawing lol

I just knew buying her a "my first microscope" set at age 3 was gonna come in handy

,
IF I did but I wouldnt if I knew better

Like if they came out with the metric system 2.0 tomorrow and said were gonna measure length by "bananas" because its more accurate we would all tell them to get fucked
So when inches were out and mm were in that was cool, but if the same people tell you mm are out and bananas are in you'll tell them to get fucked?

Just want to drop this in here. I think all participating in this thread will find it interesting.
(I'm not pushing an agenda with this, or trying to label any of you as "science doubters". Just read it if you wish, it is interesting and relative to our conversation in here).

Why Do Many Reasonable People Doubt Science?

Maybe pop up related?
Maybe? I'm really not sure.

All I did was google search "why do some people question science" and this National Geographic link came up. I've got to get back to work now, but I will try to find the same article elsewhere. I found a different version of the same article, but it was edited down to about half. I'd like to share the whole thing if I can find it. Give me some time and I will try to find it later today.

Doubting science debate has too many layers to cover.

But I can tell you that most logical people doubt some science due to experience.
Doesn't mean that I disrespect or dont appreciate science.
How many articles have you read that begin with 'scientists once believed that.....but new evidence shows.....'? Which is awesome that they are constantly learning. But also goes to show that we aren't foolproof.

Which is exactly why I wanted to share this article, I thought it did a pretty good job addressing this.

But also goes to show that we aren't foolproof.
And here is where we get back in to that gray fuzzy area again. True science shouldn't set out with that in mind, and should openly welcome criticism, evaluation, discussion, etc. We all know science changes over time, and that is a natural part of learning. But it doesn't mean that all science is bunk, and it certainly does not mean that there aren't some truths/facts/proofs.

Ok, I really have to get to work lol

Fun thread guys :)

When we were growing up, the change of opinions became a running joke at the dinner table. First, it would be 'eggs cause cancer!'. Then 'coffee linked to cancer.' Then ' one cup of coffee a day may prevent cancer!'

'You can't catch HIV from mosquitoes "
"You can't catch HIV from kissing!'

Etc etc

Remember when smoking improved circulation and calmed the nerves? :D

Without trying to be a dick, why would you feel the need to Google that?
