i was able to verify that my ballot was received. But to verify that the vote was counted correctly is a question of verifying the process by which the vote is counted, and validating that the process is done the same for every ballot. For the people that voted in person this year... Did any of you get a "ticket stub" that you can then track after the fact to make sure that things were counted appropriately? I know that some mail-ins allow you to track to make sure it was received but can these also confirm your vote?
Both seem like something that should be implemented for further transparency and overall security/fraud prevention.
Am I wrong?
it's the same way that an "ISO", "UKAS" or other process accreditation works. What's FUBAR about our system is that basically every state (and in some cases county or city) have their own "ISO" standard. What's needed is a national system.
