i was able to verify that my ballot was received. But to verify that the vote was counted correctly is a question of verifying the process by which the vote is counted, and validating that the process is done the same for every ballot.

it's the same way that an "ISO", "UKAS" or other process accreditation works. What's FUBAR about our system is that basically every state (and in some cases county or city) have their own "ISO" standard. What's needed is a national system.

It still makes me shudder he has so many people enraptured in his nonsense.

I think that I can verify later that I have voted. But no way to verify which way I voted. I also don't think that portion exists even for mail in ballots. If it did, anyone could look up and see who you voted for and I'm not sure I've ever seen a system where that was possible.

This is exactly how it worked for me too. And there was no receipt. I’m not aware of any way to check or confirm my selections.
