I just looked this guy up, because I was curious if white men in America being called 'Lin' was a thing.
Turns out that this guy came home one night when he was 16 to find that his dad had beaten his mother to death. For which the dad only received a 2-year prison sentence.
Probably explains a little why such a person is unhinged. But doesn't explain why such a person was ever able to work his way into a prominent position in national discourse.
