Rishi Sunak did this same shit in UK... Brought in record levels of legal immigrants (mostly indian).. While pushing a public narrative of being anti illegal immigration and just avoiding talking about legal immigration as much as he could.

He went from 43% of the vote (which was for Boris) to 23% of the vote. That was the primary reason. Election was lost on legal immigration.

Trump should reign these guys in or they're going to lose next election massively.

With x limiting the reach of users who criticize Elon and his friends, removing their verifications, cancelling their subscriptions and even banning them, who is going to sign up for X-phone and X-mail now?

Quite literally every tech team I've worked with is run by American born (generally white) men or women.

Its all of the entry/mid level that goes to H1-Bs because native born devs wont work for as low of compensation as the H1-Bs will.

Elon and other billionaire tech bros only think Americans are 'too dumb' because they wont work for scraps.

Its profit over everything... they'd rather take 70% productivity as long as its costing them 50% of the salary.

One thing I've found is that (unlike some other groups) Indians are not at all good at hiding their resentment off whites. This started with a respectful debate about immigration between the tech and MAGA parts of the Trump coalition, and the Indians entered it with "We will crush you and steal your women, you inbred losers." Zero to 120 real fast.

India's economy is 60% outsourced labor from first world countries due to cost savings. 20% local servicing. And 20% scammers.

Most hilarious H1-B hire I've ever encountered was a TDM (test data mangement) lead for a company I worked for.

Dude was fucking worthless and even fucked up the paperwork when he got his name changed to appear more 'American'.

He was trying to become 'Stephen Johnson' and ended up Johnson Stephen.

Yeah it's disgusting. Agreed. I don't know the solution to the issue but the idea you can buy an election or a politician is ridiculous.. And to be fair the other side tried WAY harder to do this but they just failed on poor execution.

Are there any countries that get this right? and how do they fund elections if it isn't businesses and individuals paying for them? If government pays that naturally will favor the incumbent government who can manipulate those funds.

I think it's tricky, but definitely a huge problem.

Make PACs illegal.
Repeal citizens united.
Campaign funds should be publicly funded with a cap.
Remove the insider trading loophole.
Make it illegal for former politicians to work for any lobbying firm.

Level playing field for everyone.

Hell... lets also make election crimes treasonous.
Call in a bomb threat to a precinct = Treason
Illegal voting = Treason

I've worked with Indians for years. The ones that are smart are typically exceptional. The less exceptional are usually far behind anyone else in the office. There is no middle ground. Either damn near worthless or highly skilled. Never between.

Late last night, Elon tweeted that people had him all wrong, that he was just talking about bringing in th top 0.001 percent of engineers. Bu a little bit ago he said we should let in everyone who is honest and hard working.
