General Elon Musk: White Men Are Dumb

It's so dumb too.. I don't even understand Musk's dumbass comment. All his best engineers are likely white. The companies he does business with were probably all founded by white people.

Want to know the big problem with competent white people in tech? The competent mid-senior levels one want to work 40-50 hour work weeks for 300-400k and the Indian h1b will do a shittier job but for 140k for a 70 hour week.

That's it. It's just about downward pressure on wages. The best tech talent in the world is by far white.

Even if you wanted to import it.. the best imported tech talent you'll get is from Eastern Europe.

Indians are just dumb cheap labor. They just keep enough white guys on staff to fix their mistakes and keep the lights on.

Genuine question - do these white dudes get hired on easily at companies abroad?

Or are the countries that are technologically advanced enough to need them still either mired in political differences (China) or racist / "traditionalism" differences (Japan)?
 
Most people are dumb. I had a position for some basic level technical stuff and I hired a guy in his '40's that worked in IT for a long time and he was a complete moron. There wasn't a whole lot I could give him that he could handle and there was absolutely nothing he could do correctly the first time and without continual hand holding. It got to the point that giving him anything to do was a waste of time and he couldn't be trained to be less stupid.

I hired a foreign student from India that just graduated from a local college because it was impossible to find anyone and she wasn't just the best choice, she was the only suitable choice out of anyone that applied. It took a while to get used to the fact that this person for whom English is a second language can understand instructions quickly and can then successfully go do what is asked which is not true for 90% of the people in the building. I'm working on getting her an H1B currently because she's valuable.

Is the average person in India a moron? Most likely, just like the average person here. Are the ones that make it here a cut above all the rest, yes and we should probably keep draining these people from other countries as needed.

In other words.. the shitty salary you offered was only good enough to get you the bottom 5% candidate locally but gets you top 1% candidate globally.

That's all it is.

Tech loves them some Indians on H1 visas who are basically indentured servants. Pay them less, work them like dogs, they can't quit or you can fuck them over with immigration, bring in new ones as the old ones get smart and escape.
 
Yeah, unfortunately the Trump administration is going to pour gasoline on non white legal immigration, while distracting with the illegal immigrant rhetoric and deportations. I still hope the latter happens though.

india is literally a garbage dump . their entire infrastructure was built 100 year ago during the Raj by the British . ever since then they just let it crumble . it is one of the grosses places on the face of the earth and the cause of half the worlds problems. these clowns have entire rivers of garbage flowing in to the sea . India needs their best and brightest to stay the fuck home and fix this shit . they are a quarter of the worlds population and cant even figure out how to use a flush toilet . we are talking africa levels of retardation . these are not the people you need to bring here to "fix our problems" .

There is also a prevalence of people with no experience who are convinced they should stroll right into a 6 figure gig. People with help desk skills applying for help desk roles, but expecting engineer salaries.

I've got plenty of budget to pay people who bring something to the table and/or fill a skill gap.

On the other hand, someone brought in to reset passwords and route trouble tickets, asking for north of $45k can get fucked.

Demonstrate that you're worth the investment and there are plenty of paths to get paid.

A degree and no experience is worth nothing to me (Same goes for a CCIE written and no job history, Indian brain dumpers are just as useless as American).

India is half (with China being the other half) the reason I could not give two shits about any western leftist that whinges about how I should [insert whatever bullshit they're on about now] to help "the environment".

Okay, I'll be honest. I wasn't attracted and didn't think of it when I did the interview and the decision played no part in it. But now that I've worked with her for a while... Again, being honest... she's half my age, in good shape and she makes and brings me lunch every single day, so it turns out she is really hot!
 
All the Indians and Sri Lankans working in tech for western companies are employed for one reason only, cheap labour, for every one that is any use there are 10 retards.
