Those don't look like 7 gallon pots unless they are much taller than they look. That said, with autoflowers all you need is 3 gallons from my previous research.

First the Bed got turned and fertilized
Then I transplanted some thriving sweet pea starts under a piece of vertical sheep panel(out of view) at the far edge of that bed.

Lady transplanted some kale and various lettuce and greens that were growing in random beds in the garden. IView attachment 159061
Later some pole beans or other beans will climb the 8 foot panel behind the bed after the sweet peas give up. Probably just grow greens in the empty spaces in the bed this year.

Are those deep red/purple ones solar flare? They are really deep in color like the merlot variety, but looke shorter in stature like solar flare. I like that your wife chose varieties with different texture. Mixed green salad, or even toppings on sangwiches or tacos are always better with various textures. I don't always grow tango since it's short and gets shaded out by most lettuces, but when I do it really adds something nice to a salad.

No, not with lettuce. It's not like marijuana. The variety is green, blush, or red, or anything in between. Seasons don't matter. Solar flare is a variety. I bought it a few years ago from Baker's Creek. Yours looks the same.

Another small flush of oysters. The Reishi are in the bags behind them, but they take forever to pin, so nothing yet. And the two Lion's Mane are fruiting away. I've actually harvested them and am in the process of drying them.

Perfect timing, right before the rain.

The 7 pot isn't as hot as it's namesake. No way anyone is seasoning 7 pots with 1 pepper. I grew it out a few years ago and was so scared I only used 1 chopped up in a pot of speghetti. Didn't even notice any heat, so I had to spice it up after the fact. Having said that, they are spicy and I use them (I have a bunch frozen still) in cooking. I would never play with one raw.

Just a test for fun. I don't love the super hots.
Ghost pepper is good enough for me, and I love the flavor of peach ghost. Been using the dried ones from a plant 3 years back and loving it.
Every pepper plant can produce a slightly different pepper, I will report the 7 pot results.

Put a Chile De Arbol in the pepper bed
I plant a garden for a disabled vet(covid shot clot leg got amputated) and put it on a dripline complete with a timer, and I pick his garden for him once a week. He didn't want the Chile De Arbol so I tossed it in my bed at home.

Hot lil bastards and they grow a shitload of them per plant

Cannabis plant in freshly made round bed, I use cardboard or straw for the outer edge.
Pot of strawberries, big ass plant in pot, and Full bed of Garlic(12 kinds) that will be harvested in about a month or so and be enough garlic for the year.

I use the wire mesh and cardboard or straw portable beds to add a small garden bed or two or four around the garden in back or out front. Can make that bed in any shape you want, round, curvy, long, square... They last a few years or refresh every year, straw brings seeds which can be annoying.


Cannabis plant is pissed I planted it too early, rain and cool cloudy right now after a fake start to the summer.

My kale is doing well and spinach & errugula and collard greens are popping.
Black berry bushes are coming along and I'm about to build a trellis for that.
Found a peach tree and it's doing well and 4 apple trees are doing alight.

Get a chesterberry bro, get it in the ground this year. No thorns, amazing larger juicy berry with a longer season and shelf life.

I get 20+ replants each year, but have gifted all away from this spring
