Better for us, worse for the West coast, but no one is 100% where it'll go in the end.

The southwestern tip of Florida is all flat swampland, so it's not going to weaken it before it hits the Tampa area.

They're showing some of the shelters in Miami and Broward on The Weather Channel, and people are backed up to get in.

And just issued a 3PM curfew for Palm Beach County.

I would bet if they realized it was getting close to blowing they may not disclose this immediately...it would cause panic

Very odd situation when it comes to announcing stuff like that

Hurricane is tracking and impossible to hide

Tinfoil hat stuff I know but could you really imagine what the repercussions of telling the west that eruption is brewing and lives will never be the same....I could honestly imagine a hush on it while the rich get in the denver bunkers LOL

They mentioned that if Old Faithful were to blow, it's a super volcano and would pretty much eliminate the entire US and Canada.... Those bunkers won't do shit for anyone

I'm just catching up with this story. honestly I try to ignore these kind of news but knowing our Florida TMMACers I'm slightly touched by this one. have no idea how I would deal with a situation like this.

I'm really hoping Cuba busts this thing up a little. I've been through hurricanes, but I can't imagine cat 4 or 5 sustained winds. Just the high gusts from bands are nerve racking when they last more than 30 seconds.
