One of my uncle's gave me this advice when I was engaged (never made that walk)..... He said to "treat her like a queen, keep her smiling and laughing, always bring her coffee in the morning.... But every now and again, disconnect something in her car's engine just to remind that bitch of how much she needs you".
This sounds like something a New Yorker would say

... Yes it was... I literally just said that he said that..... I bet the only thing your uncle said to you was "the best parts of you dribbled down my leg"

I have 8 words of advice for a couple.

"I'm sorry" " You were right" and "I love you"

and yes, don't get trashed. The day goes by in such a blur without being drunk that you'll regret missing one of the most important things that happens in your life because you needed to get trashed.

Married life can be great. Best advice i can give is pick your battles and ask yourself "do I want to be right or happy" before commiting to an arguement. Also make sure you guys have some past times you can do together for years to come like skiing, biking, traveling...

Just set my out of office for one month. Longest holiday I've had for 14 years when I was at school

It was a skit on mad TV. I honestly thought you were referring to it.

Nope...barely saw that show...big fan of bobby lee and will sasso though

I used to get pissed at folks for fucking up when I ran large construction crews...caused lots of stress...I then lowered my expectations of them and life got easy...I began to either fire them, or demote them without stress and be pleasantly surprised when I found a reliable employee

I use the same principle with family members and my lady and it cuts down on the BS...even loved ones rarely live up to expectations(myself included) so just enjoy them for who they are and realize trying to change them is nearly impossible and unhealthy for all involved

I suspect you know all this but typing it out for others to ponder
