deductibles make your annuals go up, they are not to be used for stupidities

reports? cops? fire department? national guard ? RCMP ?

Finished watching the NFL game last night. Started getting ready for bed and the wife - who wasn't feeling great all day - was suddenly doubled over with abdominal pain. She's a pretty tough cookie - so I knew it was pretty serious.

Went to the ER. She has to have her gall bladder removed. Not immediately - they gave her some pain meds and told us to schedule it for next week.

On the way home from the ER at 4 AM my morning alarm goes off. I got her situated at home and came on in to work. It's the last day of the year and I have a bunch of shit to finish up.

So - zero sleep last night. And with NYE tonight - likely zero sleep tonight. By the time the Buckeyes game rolls around at 8 PM tomorrow I might be on hour 60 of no sleep.

Get some sleep homie. Just record the damn game. This is coming from the guy that has to flip from nights to days every week, sometimes multiple times a week. You'll need the energy & clear mind for both work & your family.

I ain't missing the game. Probably gonna skip out on any/all NYE festivities. She was feeling OK when we left the ER (IV drip probably had some morphine in it) but she's back to the pain. She won't be in a party mood unless it happens to pass. I will get my zzz's

Update:
Wife is sleeping. Doing OK with the pain. I have yet to sleep since 4 AM Monday. Haha.

But not partying. Having some brews and watching football. Definitely gonna crash at some point though.
