They aren't the same thing.they are not. it takes a long time for a security clearance investigation, and it costs north of $100k per person to do a TS background check and it has to be redone every 5 years. A standard Secret clearance is basically a citizenship check and a credit report, but even that is expensive for the number of people at Mar-A-Lago.
