One might argue Ruth’s pitching stats should be trashed if nobody could hit.
Possible, but performance is judged relatively. He was one of the best. A class above. I don't think anyone is saying he'd compete with Ohtani.

I think Babe Ruth is a legend.
He was in an atmosphere of his own.
100 years later Ohtani has no peers for what he’s accomplishing either

I don't remember what you are referring to here, if you mean talent the angels had very talented guys since 1996.

the problem with the angels has more to do with pitching more to do with the bullpen and closers the last time they had a good closer in troy percival they won a world series title in 2002.

The angels always had offense guys like garret Anderson,erstad,tim salmon, Jim Edmonds,scott speizio etc later one trout,otahni,pujols etc.

Troy percival son cole percival might have a good mlb future he throws 94 mph and is 6'5" he could easily get up to 96-97 mph with MLB training.
