Just googled. That Barracuda?
yep. He went to Chip Foose and had Chip design (and Troy Trepanier build) the coolest most powerful version of his HS beater.
And then complained that it wasn't very street-able. He tried to convince Chip to clear-coat the polished steel when they finished body prep.
Chip had to explain how retarded that was...

As cool as it looks now, imagine how it would look with Chip's original paint scheme

Not my kind of thing but I can appreciate the workmanship. Asking for a showcar then complaining the commute sucks sounds like something he'd do.

It was a bad ass looking car. I watched that episode.

I would probably complain too if I paid a dump truck load of money for a car and the wheel fell off.

He's a genuinely good guy who doesn't mean any harm. He's also acknowledged many times he's just a guy who reads shit on the internet.

I realize he's taken some topics and (unintentionally) pretended to be an expert on them, but anyone I've never known has done that at some point. Not to mention anyone will talks much for a living will eventually say dumb shit.

You would think the weighted vests that balance the weight front and back would be better for your posture and ultimately your back.

Something like this has pockets to change the weight and for hiking / running / exercise i believe it would be much more stable and comfortable.

Quite honestly I'm surprised he didn't chain some kettle bells to himself so he could talk more about kettle bell workouts.

He had them build a show-car and then drove it like a street-car. The wheel didn't fall off, the suspension broke when he pulled in to the driveway, and that was 10 years after the car was finished. That front suspension manufacturer is not the best, but no one knew it at the time.

And 10 years of hot-rodding a cruiser is going to cause some things to fail. What do you want to bet those were the original springs and struts? If it was a sub-standard install job, that weld would have broken much sooner. It's more likely that Dough Bro treated it like a Camry instead of a Street Rod. You have to run really tight tolerances to get a car that low and keep reliable Ackerman geometry. My bet is that the springs fatigued and the sub-frame started taking a lot of impacts. And then it took a big impact when he hit the driveway like he was pulling in a station wagon.

He started complaining about it right away, specifically about how often he had to fill it up. Well it's a 10 gallon tank on a 600 HP motor, how many miles did you think you were going to get on a tank of gas? They told you the only way to get it into the grass was to put the gas tank in the trunk...welcome to what it means to go fast AND look old-school-cool.

Didn't he claim for years that he wouldn't compete in BJJ tournies because of a bad back?

But on his podcast he says he's working out climbing up hills 1/2 mile distance with his daughter on his back ...wearing weighted vests ect.

hmmmmm......

I'm a little surprised that the manufacturer didn't make it so that the weight is higher on your back. Something as simple as that can make it much easier on your body.

In the video you can see the strain on the straps pulling back. He would be much better off with a 22.5 weight on the front and back than that big plate on his back.

But if it's working for him great. Joes on a cocktail of pharmaceuticals that is keeping his body chemistry in his early twenties thus enabling him to accomplish feats he shouldn't be able to at half a century old.

BTW - I don't mean any of that as hating on Bro Rogan. If anything, I'm hating on all the Bros who tell me how intelligent and philosophical and aware he is. I'm sure he's a good dude, a good dad, and all around good Bro. His success is a product of hustle and good fortune, and I wish him and everyone else all the luck your hustle can handle. But his persona is entertainment, not enlightenment.
