What I don't get it if this is untrue etc, why hasn't this been shot down by Jones PR team / UFC etc?

They say there's no smoke without fire...so there's obviously a story here, but not as 'juicy' as expected
They may need a bit of time to be sure of how they'll spin it whatever it is that happened. Even a relatively minor incident will need some PR tender-care at this point, considering Jones' recent debacles.

I have never once seen FRB say anything like this

UPDATE- I jumped the gun regarding the Jon Jones. Got caught up in the story. Not enough information for me to make the claims I did.

Sounds like there's a lot more involved than we know. Perhaps Jones was involved somehow but was not the main factor?

Either way, SOMETHING happened.

MMA News always breaks at 11pm or later here in the UK...It's like MMA fighters hate doing bad shit in the morning...they should think of the timezones, selfish bastards.

If no one has talked to him in 24 hours, how the fuck are sites confirming he is off the card?

UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Joneswas allegedly involved in a hit and run car accident in Albuquerque, New Mexico on Sunday morning, according to MMA insiders @BloodstainLane and Front Row Brian.

It appears Jones fled the scene after a car accident with multiple injuries reported. There are already multiple reports that Jon Jones has been pulled from the UFC 187 main event – but that could be the least of his problems, if all the details being speculated turn out to be true.

Back in January, shortly after his UFC 182 victory over Daniel Cormier, Jon Joenes tested positive for benzoylecgonine (the main metabolite of cocaine). He would later go on to check himself into rehab, only to check right back out just 24 hours later.

A week later, Jon Jones did an interview with FOX Sports 1 denying having a drug addiction, despite mounting concern from the MMA community and fans around the world.
