My head says Aldo...but I'm buying this whole destiny thing from McGregor.
Listening to Fighter and the Kid this week and him talk about deciding to quit MMA just before the call from the UFC and how he just checked out from his gym for 3 weeks with no notice or warning. His resistance to answering a call from Kavanagh who was calling with the news of a UFC debut in 9 weeks from then, and after hanging up he told himself if he's going to do this he was dedicating 100% which he hadn't been doing up to that point.
I think he has such a belief in himself right now that he's going to get past Aldo somehow. Might not be easy, but sometimes unwavering confidence makes up for shortcomings. We'll see.

This is how I'm feeling about it, there's something behind the momentum which I believe even Aldo can't stop.....so my vote is for Conor with the win. With Aldo getting a very quick rematch IN DUBLIN.
I think Jose has done a good job keeping his cool considering Conors doing all he can to break him. We saw the belt steal with no reaction really and Conor doing the "Hold me back Dana!" move again on the vlog. I like the interviews I've seen of Conor when he seems to just ne himself and not on display. Its very similar to Chael. People hated him but when they saw him coach on TUF he showed a great side of himself. Either way I'm a fan of all 3 and hope this fight happens as scheduled and they both go out on their shield for the fans.

I'll be at the Jersey shore for this fight. Lathered up in oil and wearing my eurotrash skimpy bathing suit during the day. Probably hit some bars in the afternoon and do some fist pumping. I'd like to be blacked out by 5 pm. Nap for a few hours. Wake up and order the fights. Watch McGregor win via TKO in the second round. Load up some mma forums and wait for all the threads making excuses why Aldo lost. Smile at the butthurt for a bit. Call a hooker. Get weird. Go to sleep.

So what makes Cormier different? Why will he succeed where so many others have failed?

My brain says Jose Aldo, but my heart says Connor McGregor. Either way, I really can't wait for this fight. I haven't been this pumped for a fight since Jones vs Cormier.

But, they do not make em like McGregor, he's dynamic, confident as all get out and just yeah, has this belief in himself that I believe to be 100% authentic. And yes, he says some outrageous shit but I fully believe him when he says things at least that he has no doubt he can make it happen and that he will do everything in his power to try.
After listening to him on FATK yesterday, I was sold on the guy, he's fantastic for the sport, so damn entertaining. I hope the fight goes all 5 rounds because I just want to see as much of them battling it out as possible.

Wow 11-7 to Aldo.........Through all the hype and I love Conor, there's obviously plenty of heads screwed on in here...Aldo is a beast....I still think Conor will take it....though that's my heart talking
I think Aldo takes it in the 4th or 5th with grappling after taking some heavy damage in the early going. Aldo by RNC.
