Giving this the old bumpity bump. Been quiet lately with buying the new house and all, but about to get back into day trading futures. My love of mechanics is slowly becoming more of a burden and I’ll be looking for an out soon. I had a great mentor teach me about trading futures, so I think I can slowly take his teachings and make a living out of it.
shorted Wayfair today, want to go long on Overstock but it's getting killed at the moment but will be long unless the slaughter continues, Wayfair's EV/Sales 1.8, Overstock's EV/S .5 assuming tZero is worth nothing, I think market will correct.

Tesla is the cryptocurrency of the auto industry.
I found my balls & shorted it when Musk committed a felony, if Tesla goes to $250 today I might get an Elon Musk tattoo on my ass
Nike (NKE) will likely be on sale this week.
They inked a shoe deal with Colin Kaepernick. He's one of the most polarizing figures in sports today, so I'd anticipate some heavy backlash.
Not sure why Nike thought this was a good idea. Plenty of folks will swear off their products because of this, and I'd anticipate their stock will take a hit.
It opened at $82.20 this morning.

I bought in last summer when it dipped below 11. Set the sell at 15 but it never hit. Now I'm basically even, but it pays a 5% dividend so I'm OK waiting for the rebound. Depending on how quick it climbs when it finally starts heading north I might tweak that sell price up.
I agree. Ford is a no-brainer at this point.
And I drive a Chevy
We don't have any idea what we are talking about, but I made a killing on crypto and MU and I continue to believe Ford is a good deal to be had.

In the meantime, my latest call is Gopro that just dropped 20% in after hours trading due to camera delays.
The Hero7 and thinning of models was exactly what the company needed to recover from their stale moves.
The Hero8 proves they can keep a product coming that makes new and existing customers want it. Features features features and now more accessories (duh!!!!!) that are gopro official.
Pick up the stock at under 3.50 bucks and ride it up to the cameras being released in time for xmas and beyond.
Longterm, I'm not sure the company that invented the space has enough gumption to expand but thre are short term deals to be had that could return 20-25%% reasonably based on value and history.

GoPro stock gains after hedge fund boosts stake, Hero8 Black shipments start early
10% today alone. I'm up 11%. Could have been 15% if you had timed the low this week.
I suspect it'll recover it's entire preshipping price as Xmas deliveries and the hero8 were baked into that.

What? There is no way he is dead. He is one of the most famous prisoners ever under suicide watch with multiple cameras on him. I am sure he is safe...right?
Sorry. Stocks okay. Back on track. Like I said my money is protected. Some months it goes up, others down. But I do get some dividends. Hopefully enough to pay for a family holiday next year?!
Any concern with mobile phone technology narrowing the performance gap, making the GoPro virtually obsolete?

Yes. It's the reason for their problems to date. Like I said I'm not sure it's a long-term hold but short-term there's money to be made.
They're adding new features including some awesome stuff for smoothing and apps that really add to a great vacay camera. I will never be able to dive with my phone nor do I really want to. They are also adding some great vlogging focus where the camera becomes a phone accessory so that they are cooperating instead of competing. The tech is great, but again, it's a hard space to maintain, even when they are the ones that created it.
They need to break into the porn market. Everything that attaches itself to porn makes bank eg. The internet, vhs, DVD,....
